signing Bent 14 million and Gyan for 13 million to scrapping around to trialists???? We have made our money back on these players and more.......? Here's hoping for a coup on Jan the 31st
10 according to this like. http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/sunderland-transfers.html
How you doing Billy? It's 3 years 2moro for my wife passing away. Hope you're coping o.k. The nights are long matey.
Well not to good tbh, I find myself trying to forget. Night time is ****e for sure but I at the stage atm where I just hugging the pillow, I no longer see her face when I look at it. I feel guilty about it, I,m sorry to here about your wife. I stopped looking at Janies photo's as it just makes me cry & then I get upset & angry.
Oh hello, Iremember you. Jorvic Joe & me had some banter with you a while back. Did you get up for the game mate?
No - I had to stay at home as my son was in asporting competition ! 50 today!! Hope I didn't offend you then - I took a bit of a risk. I don't pretend to be in your position, but I bet your missus would have wanted up to be as happy as possible. We only have one life and we will be in our boxes soon - so we have got to enjoy it as much as we can. Get on the road this weekend and follow the Black Cats wherever they are playing
Economics is the simple answer...Our gates have been well below expectation, which means that the money is simply not there...I don't think that Short is the 'sugar daddy' type, and is now looking to balance the books...
I'm more worried about the possibility of this.. Aston Villa are ready to let Emile Heskey walk away for nothing this summer. The former England striker, 34, is one of the top earners after being brought in by Martin O’Neill. His contract is up in July and both Villa and Heskey have already provisionally agreed to part company. There are no fresh talks planned with a view to keeping the veteran, who cost £3.5million from Wigan two years ago. Heskey has only scored 10 goals and he has struggled with form and fitness despite quitting international duty. Villa owner Randy Lerner is keen to cut the average Villa first-team salary from £57,000-a-week to £46,000-a-week, as revealed by Mirrorsport. Heskey is sure to interest his old club Leicester.
Remember we still have Gyan and a lot of money is tied up in the prick. If/when we sell him we will spend. Summer will be the time for MON to do his business. Money is tight everywhere. Even Chelsea are down to £7/8 million players.
2 things and I feel like a broken record here. 1. Mon has been here 7 weeks. If has stopped toe rot and introduced fringe players into the team. If has won 5 and drawn 1 losing only 2 in that time. If has assured safety and created stability in 7 friggin weeks. To then expect him to also pull out a world class striker for £15m at the drop of a hat is staggeringly naieve to say the least. New players could yet still come in but give the manager some slack lads. 2. Gyan hasn't been sold. I think he will come back which maybe the reason we are holding back.
Well at least he cured that injury crisis!!! Sorry cest I couldn't resist - I bet you have one of those phones which automatically corrects your words to make them look stupid!!!
I've got to say that I would get very frustrated supporting a team playing in the style of Swansea...For me, passing without any real purpose or end product is not what football is about...So the simple answer is 'no' because you didn't earn them in the first place..
There is no value in this window. I fully expect either Gyan back or a big signing in the summer. Our problem is not the up front fee its wages. If you read what Caulkin (an ITK jurno) says on twitter it makes a lot of sense. Most of his tweets re: Sunderland transfers are all about us needing to bring the wage bill down. With the likes of McCartney being out of contract in the summer it should free up some of the wage bill to bring in a couple of decent players.
If rumours about LG becoming our new sponsor...you never know..come the summer we just might open the cheque book..this window, I don't see the point
if the trialists are any good, why bother spending 10 million when we can get someone on a free? Besides,a rent most of the trialists young players? Just cos we have money, doesnt mean we have to spend it unless a fantastic opportunity comes up.
