and me,spot on how on earth can booing help a team or an individual? was it to spur him on so that he thought : 'right, ill show these fans how wrong it is to boo me and ill go and play my heart out for them' if that was me i would have thought : 'well fuk you too' and subsequently, played a poor game.....dont forget..im foreign and i didnt grow up supporting the beloved ARSENAL. Yeah, what would you do?
Isn't it strange how Wenger is taking so much abuse for his poor substitution of the Ox, but is not being praised for his excellent substitution of Djourou for Yennaris. That was a brave substitution at half time but spot on!
Topgun, I tell you what, I was pleasantly surprised Wenger showed the nuts to do that. Now, if only he had the nuts to make other important changes.
The counter argument to this is that the only way the club are allowing the fans to express their opinion is at matches, and so if we just show unconditional support in them then standards will be dropped by the club. At the moment some people feel that Wenger is making serious mistakes as a manager and new direction/ideas are needed, and so how else can they be brought about unless discontent is shown? I am not suggesting we go on an all out protest like Blackburn did, or anything close to that degree, but I can fully see why some people feel entitled to show that they are not happy about things at the moment.
Actually I thought the writing was on the wall playing Djourou - BUT full marks to Wenger (this time) for changing a mistake he had made.
Oh come on now, you are going a bit far spinning that as a mistake! We are stricken with defensive injuries there just arent allot of options. Credit where its due on this one.
well Djourou has been awful. Nani was likely to give him a torrid time. Credit for what - playing Djourou - or replacing him? I just said Wenger had balls to replace him.
