    Isn't the sale imminent?

Also, when I read this: this normally takes a couple of months to happen and for us this will take place on February 20.

My mind read this:this normally takes a couple of months for us and will take place on February 20.

At least this is a statement that has a lot of truthfulness in it.

I wonder if any of the PFC executives have considered any schemes to generate funds from the fans, for example, pay something now and offset against next year's tickets. I'm sure they could raise enough to cover the shortfall if they used their imaginations. I would certainly take a chance on it.

I know for a fact the club are doing everything with in their power to do what they can......to prevent any player sales, but the harsh reality is we are in a dire mess, and this time not through bad management or back room deals.......just thtough being handed a fraudster at the helm, AA needs to make a mends and find a real owner, with vision, passion and an undertanding of PFC, its fans and the city...........

As fans, we must make sure we support the club in every way we can, by being vocal, by attending FP............hell I have even been emailing business contacts I have across the globe, in the hope of bringing our plight to the notice of any one who will listen.............some where, there is the right person!

Any British taxpayer should be very annoyed by such an approach to business.

You wouldn't be saying the same if you club was in this position.

Fact is that nobody involved at Portsmouth want to sell the players but nobody has ruled it out. No sale has happened yet because the valutation of the players have not been met and the Administrator of CSI had advised against selling as he believed money would be coming in from the sale of other CSI businesses and that a takeover was imminant.

No mate, there are credible interested parties still looking into a possible buy out and ultimate take over of ownership....but as you are all aware, PFC is a complex little madam that will take a special buyer with passion for the club and enjoys shall we say a challenge in business! My rassionale was to use my business nouce and email clients I have worked with......from all over the world, you just never know what might happen.......and considering our current situation......all hands to the ship bud!

I think you will find that nobody connected with the club, players, admin, fans and sponsors enjoy hearing that PFC is trading in a fashion that paints the picture that tax payments are not a priority for the club in terms of its comittments to honour its liability.............but lets be honest in times of need you do what you have to do to survive............this was no different to saints, who not so long ago before a twelth hour rescue by the late, great ML had a string of debts not so dissimilar, although not quite so vast!

Human nature.....you do what you do to survive!

How can you even draw a comparison with Southampton and Portsmouth now.
You went to the wall owing 80 million pounds to the tax man and many many other company's .
And now you believe not selling players is right not to pay the tax man another 1.5 million you owe.
As regards to the southampton situation , we owed the bank on payments on St Mary's and continued to sell every player we could to carry on paying the payments. When Mr L brought the club he did a deal with the bank on money owing.
That's how banks deal in business.
I hate to see genuine good good Pompey fans on here embarrassed by the club they love.

Possum, I believe BP was merely raising the valid point that Saints have also gone through similar problems as we are currently suffering from.

Granted, we have had a succession of "dodgy owners" who all appear to have contributed to our massive debts, and the shocking way our club has been run over the years, whereas, you have only had one "bad egg" in Rupert to contend with.

We are not proud of what has occurred, quote the opposite to be perfectly honest.

I thought you might have realised by now that Lampitt does not do truthfulness! He even failed to tell the manager what was going on - he found out from the snooze. Lampitt can produce a glib answer for anything & is therefore an illustrious successor to those who went before him

Sound <ok>. So if you don't own your own training ground either are the players your only asset worth the tax owed ?

Well let's put it this way - we can only be sure of those who were signed on a free transfer or signed a contract extension. A couple of others were deals done with other clubs so if the payments were phased then they aren't yet assets.

The good news, if it can be seen as good news is that our best assets as a club are the players, there are laws about asset stripping as well as making asure payments are met......... Chainrai as head charge owns FP, Sasha owns the land surrounding it, FP can only be used for footballing purposes and MP's have vowed not to let that change, thus even if we went to the wall, FP wont be come a housing estate or business park.......so to most it would seem that PORTPIN (chainrai and Co) have to be more realistic about their approach to selling and enabling new owners to come in and stabilise pompey........Sasha's land is worthless to any one except new owners and he knows that, chainrai I am told (via the HK stock exchange) is now realising he WILL loose some of his investment, its just damage limitation or he could loose the LOT!

Fear not my fellow pomponians......there is news around the corner :emoticon-0100-smile it wont be liekly to happen before the month end, we may well loose a player yet....................but hang on in there!
