The Colombia international is out of contract with the Latics at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer. Manager Roberto Martinez has already said he would rather keep the 26-year-old and risk losing him for nothing in the summer than cash in on him this month. Rodallega, who arrived at the DW Stadium from Mexican side Necaxa for £4.5million in 2009, says he does not intend to stay at Wigan beyond the end of his deal. "My contract at Wigan runs out at the end of May and I hope this situation gets resolved - but I can already say these are my last three months with Wigan," he told Caracol Radio. The frontman says he is in talks with a number of sides but has refused to name them "out of respect for Wigan", currently rock-bottom of the table. He could be worth a daft bid of 2-3m Wigan might take it as he can leave for free in the summer & they are in talks with Maynard. The lad worked his socks off for Wigan when they played us
I was just gona write the same article. I defo think he'd be worth a bid, Ive always rated him. My only worry is can we afford him?? All these trialists we have suggest they might not be much money in the kitty??
I think we have the money to spend mate & we now have the right man to spend it ES will have known MoN would want money to spend before he offered him the job IMO
As people have said i dont think we are in a rush to splash the cash, these trialists are for now and to make up the numbers, dont think they are long term. That Zlatan bloke isnt world class but he'll do a job for six months. The summer is the time i think we will really see the gaffer come out and go for the throat!!
I would of thought this was good last year but this guy has went missing this year for Wigan, i guess MON could make him tick again.
I think the money will be there for the right player/s. I just don't think ES will sanction spending money on squad players, its class signings, free's or loans. I can see us spending money on average types when we can loan or get them for nothing. Having said that 3m for Hugo would be good business because at 26 he would have a decent re-sale value.
dont do it lads belive me i have watched wigan almost every week for years - he need another striker with him - he int a scorer - wickham will be better
Don't rate him at all has done jack this season and last, in fact he is that bad I'd rather we kept Bendtner. We can do better than him and would rather we went for a fizzy pop striker for 3 to 4 mil as a stop gap as that is all he would be with us.
he was injured and cant play unless he has decent balls into the box (which wigan lack with zog gone) so is now an impact player with the quick counter attack however now wigan have got a winger he might paly more
He may well play more mate but he is still ****e, how much would Whelan want for him any ideas? Like I said earlier why go for another foreigner when we could spend the cash on a fizzy pop striker who I think would do a better job.
