What game do the Dembas get back for if Senegal get knocked out in the group stages?

Sengal's last game is 29th Jan. If they get knowcked out we could have Demba and Papiss back for the Villa game realistically.

Gabon 2-0 up against Niger, just before half time. They look good actually. Could be outsiders to win it what with home advantage and all that.

I have a new-found love of African international football.

Watching these ACON games is so entertaining and I can't put my finger on why...

I feel like I'm watching Brazil in them kits.
They seem to play well as they're on home soil.

    Wtf is Lebara mobile?

I know what you mean. Only missed one so far (Ivory Coast vs Sudan). The football isn't always the highest quality and it is sometimes painfully slow but i'm still enjoying it.

Like the kits as well. Simple designs but look good. Think our kit designers try too hard.

Haha ... I was thinking that too. Very like Brazil ;)

The final is in their capital (Libreville) so think they would have a chance if they get to the final.

As for Lebara mobile i'm assuming it is a Gabonese mobile phone company. Fixed line phone infrastructure is crap throughout most of africa so they rely on mobile phones, there are loads of companies throughout the continent we will never have heard of.

I guess it's a nice substitute when there's no Prem games on.

It's weird though, I wouldn't really watch a random game like Lithuania v Finland for example but perfectly happy when watching Gabon v Niger.

Yeah same here. I guess the fact that it is a major tournament helps though. I doubt i'd tune in to watch them play a qualifier or friendly. Been a good game so far though, hope second half is as good.

That is what I thought too, but Lee Ryder seemed to reckon on his live blog earlier today that they could be back for Blackburn on the 1st.

technically yes.. but i dont think we would have them in the squad. firstly they will play on 29th then they would have to fly back and be ready for the 1st. its unrealistic that they will play in that game, the most realistic outcome is the villa match.

not too keen on him still, his off the ball movement seems ****e, seems to do little to try to bring himself into the game or open up options. think cisse papisses all over him

The number 8 from Guinea looks like a tidy player.
