Agreed we can't beat better teams with the players we have. However, if we can beat the teams around us then:
    (a) they are probably useless and will therefore do no better than us against the higher teams
    (c) it improves our position in relation to them and might just enable us to scrape above the relegation zone
Not sure if it will be a good idea to escape relegation though. At least it will keep us in league football for an extra year, finances permitting.

I don't know JS. I was only 40% serious. I suppose I was thinking it might be better to be a successful team, rather than one that keeps losing.

totally agree mate we were awful first half long aimless hoofballs to nobody by winfield didnt help, maybe he should take note of young laing next to him who looked very comfortable on the ball and came out with the ball several times instead of launching it 50 feet in the air to beever.2 poor teams but we were lucky it was only rochdale we were playing, the amount of ball we let them have in midfield was criminal,no challenges or tackles and very little of anything else.thankfully beever got us out of jail and young laing bolstered the defence otherwise it could have been a different story, this looks like its gonna be a div 2 fixture next season.

Can you believe how much beever has come on this season. I could always see he was a classy player, but without the goalscoring touch, much in the mould of the excellent Steve McGavin.
But someone has got inside his brain and told him to be a bit more selfish and shoot rather than pass, and boy has he got some crackers.
Now he believes in himself, he's a different player.
I hope GW can take some credit for this turnaround.
And Laing looks like a proper defender too. Maybe a few 1-0 wins to come.

he could honestly look back and say that hat-trick against bristol rovers was the turning point in his season (perhaps career?), as that was when he first looked like a goalscorer. he looks a much better player than ive ever seen him before, he could really go far!
