Pompey are apparently 48 hours from liquidation

I don't recall feeling shame when we went into administration. After all unpaid bills were the problem. While it is true that Pompey seem to do this on annual basis, I am not sure shame is what their fans should feel. Sadness, yes. I was gutted when we slipped from Wupert's slippery grasp and the Conference were seriously discussing our possible inclusion. But shame? Exactly what is that Pompey fans as a body have done (apart from displaying appalling taste in football teams, of course) for which they should feel ashamed?

It's a sad day for football if a club like Pompy can go through this much crap.
Always enjoyed going to your ground and really hope it all works out for you as a club and esp for the Supporters.

Not sure what this will actually mean in reality. Most people and companies would be seriously worried, but nothing seems to happen to Pompey.

 

there'll be a court date in about 2016, whereupon the judge will adjourn until 2040.

 

They might even get round to it before Lee Barnard.

Could always ask for a E U bailout? To be serious I would boycott the present club! You'd be better off going out for a good night with the wife or girlfriend, supporting Waterlooville, Gosport, Fareham until you set up a new club. You guys are just stuffing money into the trousers of some dodgy owners and employees and have been for years - Storrie, Mandaric, Gaydamak, CSI etc!! Put the current club out of agony, club together as supporters and start again outside the Football League. Whilst people are not flushed with money there would be a groundswell of support for a new Portsmouth club owned and run by the people of the Portsmouth area.

 

Wow, they actually want to see us go bust.

Calm down mate !. I dislike them as much as the next saints fan but just think if they went under it woud give you what 1/2 days satisfaction, but if we stuff them in april it would make my season.

those are assets that could be sold to pay off not only the tax bill but all of the local businesses screwed over by Portsmouths disgusting dealings. But why are they not being sold?!

why are they allowed to keep their squad together? most other sides would've had to sell a huge chunk of their squad (birmingham?!) But Pompey get away with it, because they get away with everything... they get away with trading insolvent when good small community clubs like Darlo are put out of business for peanuts debts. But Pompey can overspend, do what they like and get away with it all...

I've had enough of them getting away with spending above their means when everyone else is responsible, I've had enough of PFC, it's fans, it's cheating... I hate them... and nobody here should be showing sympathy... why show sympathy to PORTSMOUTH?! are you all ****ing mad?!

If 1 fan had any influence on the way the club was run then it would be run in a completely different way I can assure you. Do tell me - how many Saints supporters are on the board of SFC and in a position to influence the way it is run?

Get off your high horse - you may hate us........ without even knowing us, more shame on you for allowing a local rivalry to turn you into a person full of hatred.

And as for "everyone else is responsible" do you not read the news of other clubs?

I'm just imagining his scrunched up little face while typing that. Quite an amusing picture. As if it's our fault. Been said quite a lot over the years, but the only people who will lose out if we were to go bust are the genuine honest fans who just want to watch football on a Saturday and have a bit of pride in their local team, and the small businesses struggling to get by as it is. If worse comes to worse, the players will find new clubs, AA still gets paid at the end of it and the millionaires who lost money through the whole experience will come out of it still as millionaires.

 

And poor balram will be 17 million out of pocket.
