.....however there does appear to be some unrest judging by today's Daily Thread. At first it didn't appear to be anything serious but then it developed into effectively one person being accused of lying. That isn't really in the spirit of the Forum and I would have thought there would have been a better way round what can only be described as something that started out as very minor niggle, which I thought had been cleared up with an apology. I hope this can be forgotten and that things can continue in a happier vein. Another cause of some friction has been the revamping of Fugees. I think we should remember that when I was trying to get this forum going I was an occasional visitor to Fugees inviting members to visit this site. Not with any intention of getting people to jump ship but to use Not 606 as the alternative to 606 and belong to both. Many people were members of both 606 and Fugees and, as many 606ers will recall, I always tried to keep that going from the moment the closure of 606 was first announced. It was unfortunate that Fugees was closed down as we all know each of us feel happy within a certain community. If the continuation of that community has been re-facilitated then I say best wishes to those who wish to continue within their familiar community. However, as I have always made clear, everyone from Fugees (or its derivative) is more than welcome on here also. Thank you for your attention Ron
I think you have this wrong Ron, and I tried to PM you about this and it failed to send. I never accused anyone of lying, I laughed at the backing at 20/1 and it being 13/2 when it was put up. Another member put up the link to Oddschecker which showed it had never been as big as 20/1 in the markets. I think what happened afterwards with the poster criticising my judgement and attempts to belittle because of age is much more of an issue. As such I think your post here is unfair and unwarrented.
I'm not having a go at you Nass. In fact I am aware how it all started. I'm not actually having a go at anyone. I'm saying that what started off as a minor brush developed unnecessarily, rather than regarded as banter and continuing in the same vein. Personally I think there is nothing wrong with having a good laugh and saying "How the **** did you manage to get that price". The publishing of Oddschecker history though does look like an attempt to prove someone a liar. For all we know, the odds may have been grabbed on the exchange, or one bookmaker opened up at that price and quickly changed it. I don't know and don't care to be honest. Maybe I don't have the full picture but as far as I'm concerned I would be happy for everyone to just carry on as though nothing has happened.
Firstly I didn't put Oddschecker up, secondly oddschecker has prices from exchanges. Making new thread just makes more people aware of issue.
Easy!! Putting up an oddschecker link isn't calling someone a liar and it's there for everyone to see anyway. I couldn't give two hoots if someone wants to put up an inflated price on a horse. To my view the reaction from Wayward made an issue out of it. No one mentioned lying! Also it's a bit like he could dish it out but not take it don't you think? Everyone did just carry on as if nothing happened!
Ron, it seems apparent that NASSAU WHATSISNAME has had his nose put out by superior tipsters joining your board. He was obviously bang out of order and I think a full and unequivocal apology is called for here. Its just not on abusing new posters! There are laws about Internet bullying you know!
What does fugees mean,sorry if im being dumb! I dont think we should fight etc.. we are all on here with 1 thing in common the our passion and love for this fantastic sport! Some of us try and make a little bit of cash out of it and some of us just love talking about it. So what if some one puts some inflated odds up, it doesnt really matter at the end of the day a winner is a winner! We are here to try and beat those bookies! So everyone just get along and lets all look forward to the greatest festival on turf!!
fugees Woolly is the shortened name for the racing form "606 racing refugees" which was formed by a poster called HoldEm for some of us to use when we got banned by the BBC from the 606 site...hence "refugees"!
I'm new to all this and probably a bit naive but how can you get into a fight over the odds of a horse? This is beyond me. Especially with someone you dont even know presumably. I would rather my head was stuck in the form book for the next race rather than waste the time to be honest. I hope this forum can continue in the vein that i have been used too since joining in November i would rather not be a part of it than witness petty bickering which detracts from the spirit of the forum.

I agree with Oddie and Zenyatta, you have got something good going Ron and i think everyone can see that. Let this one die down now and hope everyone involved has taken note. If not just put them on a warning Ron that you will kick their arse's next time. The old 606 was a classic example that it does not take too many ego's to change the colour and flavour of the whole thing, i hope this does not go the same way. The main reason i don't think it will Ron is because 606 was run by faceless moderators but this is very much your baby and i think you have an awful lot of respect from everyone on here and that will keep the fragile ego's in line.
