Petty as **** - you ****in bet (but that's this boards motto is it not)... Just watched Celtic get pumped by St Midden (**** sake) but got cheered up that the treble dream is no longer! Get it roon ye !!!!! Q Celtic getting horsed by Ross County
I just got in from a curry and gamble night at the casino so didnt have a clue what had went on. Then I saw some facebook comments and though, surely not!! Clicked on bbc sport and seen it confirmed, Farcelona go down 4 zip to St Midden hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Dont get me wrong, gutted at losing to United but **** me that scoreline is hilarious! Must have had a really **** ref tonight eh?
****ing joke. Hopefully this spells the end for Mowbray as the man is ****ing clueless to the extreme. Tactically inept. Last year we had Strachan who only knew 11 players and 4-4-2. This season we've had about 200 different starting 11's and about the same number of formations. Putting 4 up-front isn't bold or attack-minded it just reeks of panic and tactical incompetence. Well organised football teams will slaughter that kind of silly formation. More and more the modern game has become about tactical discipline and being regimented. It seemed that many players last night we unaware of their roles. Why play Ki, an attacking midfielder, when McGowan was in the deep-lying forward role? This takes one or both (as the case was last night) totally out of the game. County/Raith Cup final anyone??
I'd love for a county/raith final I was switching between the games last night and couldn't believe your score. The paisley pandas singing 'we want 5' On the other hand, why the **** did rangers rest so many players last night? For the league thats already wrapped up? Andy Little was ****ing awful. I was willing to give him a few chances but he's 22 I think now and not cut it. At the start of the season I would have settled for the league alone, so thinking of it that way, even though I'm disappointed we got papped out.
Andy Little was terrible. thot naismith was good, thot lafferty was alot better than usual, (still not briilliant) but we missed davis and thomson big time. our midfield was non-existant. utd shuda had a penatly in the first half. good to see boyd gettin 90 seconds under his belt. wtf?
I turned over and it was 1-0 United with a minute to go and Rangers were bringing Boyd on....I was confused too Nev. Seems like Walter Smith thought beating Dundee United was a bit of a formality.
didnt see the game but heard the line up on the radio and didnt really understand the thought process either but thought we had a defeat coming as we've not been performing well for a while but have still been getting results. this tie should never have gone to the replay ffs does little not play right/centre back for NI? could county beat celtic?
**** yer utd, i'll be digging out my retro scarf and heading to hampden whilst trying to memorise the current county squad along with all the other plastic teuchtars
County are a decent side with the fourth best club-owned training facilities in Scotland after the OF and Hibs but are hamstrung by a parochial mentality. They should have made the SPL years ago and are underachievers if anything.
really? suppose i've never really thought about it. there does seem to be a feeling at the club at the moment that promotion would be too soon, it might come from a feeling that county are still a relatively young club (at this level of football) although they are no younger than caley, who with larger resources you would expect to compete more. dont think its fair to say they should've made the SPL years ago as they are only just beginning to compete. its a small town so there will be limited resources, thats not parochial thats just reality
There are a lot of die-hard County fans that I know who feel the McGregors have held County back on purpose because they couldn't afford to run an SPL club. I went to school with the grandkids of Roy McGregor Sr. and they really do love the club but after all the money that was spent on the training centres.
thats a bit conspiracy theorist for me but tbh i cant comment too much as i barely follow county other than to check the score each wk if the owners cant afford a run in the spl i think they just wouldnt invest money they didnt have (county have always seemed like a sensibly run club if anything) and would either stay up or go down but remain financially viable, i cant see them holding them back though. how would you even do that? tell cookies takeaway to poison the team post match chinese one wk? it'd be pretty easy for us to go the same as other small clubs who are "chasing the dream"
They did have some financial problems in recent years after the massive investment in the training centre. Really good though, it has indoor and outdoor pitches. It even has an indoor 7's pitch, which is rare for a club the size of County. I don't follow them enough to have the full picture either but one of my best mates is rabid about County. He's the one who got me going in the mid 90's. A lot of County fans (And Derek Adam's apprently) think the club has been held back. But I can see where you're coming from because massive outlays got Gretna and Livingston loads of long-term success
hampdens going to be a scream, cries of "holright there coff!" and "sheeesht" all over the shop. also having to speak to pretty much every person i ever met prior to 2000
One of the main reasons I hate going out in Invergordon. You always get some **** you went to school with, who has never left the town and is now a resident drunk telling you a half-remembered story about something you did when you were bairns. One guy I grew-up with was a Rangers and Nottingham Forest fans when we played in the same football team. A couple of years back I was in the Caley and he was wearing a Celtic home top. I said to him "What you wearing that for? You're a Rangers fan"....he slavers at me "No, I'm not ah've always been a Sellick fan..."...... ****ing lying alchy bastard
