Now that PSG seem to have shown their hand for Alex, i was just wondering why PSG are not going in for Samba instead. IMHO Samba is a better defender and more importantly he has being playing games up until recently while Alex has being playing with the reserves. Samba has taken a tough stance with Blackburn and is now also stuck with the reserves. This is a big fall from grace for their captain. I really can't see a way back into the fold for him. I personally think that one of the big 4-5 clubs will come in for Samba at the last moment. Considering this we would really strike gold if we were to pull thisone out of the bag. A few months ago most of us would have been really happy to get Bassong. It was only when Alex and Samba were mentioned that Bassong slipped way down the list. I really think that he may turn out to be our best option. We really need to buy at least one good CB ,and for me Bassong still fits the bill.

Guys we will be doing everything we can to bring the best players we possibly can. But we're competing with the big boys now so it will always be touch and go. We could sign 20 players this afternoon from the championship, but then people would moan they aren't good enough. Can't have it all our own way. Just be patient and see what happens. But don't forget that by getting rid of Warnock when we did essentially halved the length of the transfer window for us. Plus January is a difficult time tonsign players as most contracts end in July.
