Harry made some good points about the St Mirren game, we were denied a valid goal and a penalty and the decision to award a goal kick to the Buddies after the ball clearly came off Thomson was laughably bad.

Not saying the official was biased, I just like to complain when we are winning to avoid obvious criticism in future when such decisions will cost us the points.

Dev, I get the inside word of the officials nowadays regarding decisions. They agreed the linesman had a shocker, highlighting a spell when he got 4 throw ins given to the wrong team in a row. They also said that Celtic should not have been given a penalty against St Mirren when Rogne headed it off a players hand. The St Mirren player had been pushed, and the ball hit his hand after this.

I only seen 15 minutes of the game, so can't comment what I think.

I did'nt see any push on the Saints defender but then again I was not looking for one, as the game was already won.

The linesman did have a howler though.

It was 0-0, I misread the post and thought ML meant the disallowed goal. However, the penalty was not given (as it should have been) and no one whistled or flagged for a push by Rogne at the time.

 

They said as well the referee wasn't letting the game flow. Every foul he was making them go back to the exact spot, regardless of where on the pitch it was. He done this because of the controversy around the Rangers goal the week before, when Davis took the quick free kick.

As I said, I only seen a bit of the Celtic game so can't really comment on much, apart from the Forrest goal

I don't think it was a foul by Rogne. I picked it up as another Celtic player pushed a St Mirren player as he jumped. His hand was raised (automatic response) and Rogne headed the ball against the hand. Not a deliberate handball and the arm was not in an unnatural position. I could be wrong, but that's the way I assumed it happened.

I don't know about the disallowed goal. I never even knew there was one
