Even though Maynard is overpriced its a gamble worth taking as there position is now DIRE. Yes, if as seams likely that Wigan come down they have a championship proven goal scorer. They have part of the N'Zogbia money still to spend and they have a few players who will leave in the summer if they are not PL. I think that Wigan are also planning ahead for possible life in the championship if the worst does indeed happen. As for Simpson. Well if he wants to go back south Crawley is in the south and they should be a league one team next season - thats all.
JS is way better than League Two. He'd be mental to consider it. Charlton is as low as he should drop.
Thats not the point. If OJ is desperate to go back down south thats an option. I dont see Charlton rushing to try and get him now do you ? Charlton look well placed though for the championship. Crawley look well placed for league one next season.
This time of year everyone is convinced the 3 promoted PL teams will stay up and the likes of Wigan, Blackburn etc. will go down. Then as we go inton the new year the promoted teams suffer an inevitable plummet down the table and at least one goes down, then everyone says they knew it was going to happen. I think it's too close to call, but a lot will come down to how long the 3 promoted teams can stay out of the bottom 3; once they're in there it's hard to get out.
Simpson is signed until the end of the 2013 season, he's never going to agree to go and play in League Two ffs. And he's from Enfield, Crawley's over an hour away, he'd be just as far away if he went to Ipswich.
Well if OJ is that desperate to go back down south beggars cannot be choosers. But i want to see what he can do under NB at the moment. Crawley is not that bad an option as they look well placed for promotion and league one. Just saying like.
Michael Tonge joins Barnsley from Stoke for the rest of the season After Barnsley lose Butterfield(injury) and Drinkwater(Lesta) for the season. SSN confirms.
I know you can't stand us, but you must have been watching the wrong game as we were class. Then again, you're a Hull fan so you probably don't know much about football - I mean you have no history.
**** off to the banter thread, your pissy pant moderators have decided that we can't post on each others boards, other than on that thread. PS - Both teams were ****e last night, but well done for winning, it puts us just that little bit closer to an automatic.
I still feel the 3 promoted clubs will be ok this season. QPR looked to be in trouble but with Mark Hughes as manager and with money to spend they should be ok. Norwich should be ok and Swansea's home form should see them safe. Though if Blackburn and Bolton keep improving like they are that will drag others down into it (Fulham, West Brom, the 3 promoted sides and maybe even Everton), but there is a bit of a gap at the bottom but that could be eroded by Blackburn and Bolton. I think Wolves could well be in trouble and I think it might be a season too far for Wigan, but we'll see come May.
That one started last week, many think it's the reason he was left out of the Wolves game on Saturday.. http://www.wigantoday.net/sport/wigan-athletic/latics_have_eye_on_wolves_winger_hammill_1_4163006 Edit - Someone on football rumours is claiming that the offer is £500k + Dave Jones(who went from Wolves to Wigan last August)
I know some very nice Leicester fans who sadly dont come on here. Apart from the usual suspects from Lestas board i dont have issues at all. Cazlcfs comes accross a oen of your better fans thankfully. Maybe she should become a mod, then again she shows far to much sense to be saddled with such matters. As ive said many times not a day goes past when i wish NP had stayed. Both clubs have got what they want. We have lots of history But sadly like Lestas its not all good. As for monday night IF you think that was a good football match then may i suggest its you who does not know much about football. How is your neck these days ?
Someone I know who works with Palace says they're claiming they've signed Jamie Vardy for £750k and will loan him back to Fleetwood for the rest of the season.
