Surely we will have missed a massive opportunity to threaten a visit to Wembley if we fail at the Amec on Saturday. I am hoping for a solid professional performance and a 1 or 2 nil win, nothing spectacular with no injuries or suspensions. Just come away from Brighton in the draw for the 5th round.
I am happy to take anybody at SJP in round 5 so a home draw will do nicely please!!

    Peace out.

A nice easy home draw followed by another one and hopefully resulting in another visit to Wembley.

There is a good chance that Man Utd will be knocked out on Saturday and Chelsea have a difficult game against QPR, so they could realistically get knocked out as well. Tottenham don't have an easy game away at Watford either.

The main problem is we obviously want the top teams to get knocked out to improve our chances of winning the trophy, but if we get knocked out we want the final to be between two of the top teams (so 7th would be available for Europe). Lets just hope we get through and get a nice home draw!

Very good point! Although you can guarantee we will be drawn to go to Old Trafford or Anfield in the next round.

I reckon I'd fancy us if we get through and get Liverpool at home, or even Chelsea or Spurs. So long as it's at home we could (emphasis on that) beat them. If we're away, I'm not so sure.

We chucked away our easiest route to Wembley when Blackburn beat us in the Carling Cup.

So out of the 19 possible draws for the next round there are, what, 4 that would be worrying:

    Spurs, {Man U/Liverpool}, Chelsea, Arsenal

Any of the rest I would think we really should beat, and even those 4 I'd face with optimism if we're drawn at home.

It could really open up for us this season when you look at it like that. Would be typical for us to shaft ourselves at Brighton though.
