I do not want to defend Wenger, I just try to look at it with his eyes. What does he see? I think he sees the future starting 11 :

    WS,
    Sagna, Vermaelen, Kos, Gibbs,
    Song, Wilshere, OXO, Gervinho/Walcott,
    RVP.

And he thinks - how on earth can I improve on that without spending £30+ ml on a player? Geotze, Hazard etc - this all sounds good, but out of my reach. So how on earth can I improve on that?
Then we have Frimpong who is the best player with Wolves now, Ramsey who is the best player with Wales now,, Coq who is the best of all Coqs, Santos who can score... Arteta, who has class, Arshavin who has .. emm... a fat ass. And we have some other useful players on the bench.. like .. emmm.. like Rosicky ! Who can run and has some great hair. And we may buy another striker in the summer for a fiver when everyone else goes bankrupt.. hopefully... And we have so many captains in our squad, so that when this ship starts sinking they will never leave because they all have to be last to leave sinking ship..haven't they? It looks perfect for Wenger, just perfect.
I can understand Wenger if I try really, really hard.

  5. Not just him I believe.

It appears ( pun mildly intended ) that EPL managers are often unsighted :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Nothing, he never sees anything. If you look at it with his eyes mate can I suggest a visit to Spec Savers <laugh>

But seriously, Wenger looks washed up, like he needs a year out of football to recharge his batteries. And as for Arshavin, some one tweeted earlier, 'the worst Russian sub since the Kursk'

I agree that when we have everyone fit our starting 11 is FAR better than people realise. (thats because we've not had our first choice starting 11 available yet this Season - which is pretty crazy considering its almost February)

    --------------------Sczezney--------------------
    Sagna----Mertesacker-----Vermaelen---Santos
    -----------Arteta-----------Song-----------------
    ------------------Wilshere------------------------
    Oxo/Theo-------VanPersie------------Gervinho

However the problem is the quality on the bench!

Sure we have some great youngsters like Frimpong and Oxo but we dont have top class players to cover once a few injuries kick in(and they always do at Arsenal)
Except Perhaps Diaby and well he's NEVER available.

In order to stregthen what we need is a few TOP TOP class signings - these wont come cheap and we all know how the board feel about that.

I would put Koscielney in at CB. Looking at the bench we have Metersacker, Gibbs, Ramsey, Walcott/Ox, Fabiansky, Benayoun, Park/Chamack/Ryo/any other youth player. Seems like a pretty good squad to me.
