It's been changed, it did however state his agent confirmed he had signed for Leeds and called him michael southwell, it also stated Leeds had agreed a £47.9m deal!
I love Wiki, it's just like ITV, Channel 4 & 5, utter ****e and made for brain dead people.

It's problem is it can be edited by the public.

I have more than once had a candidate for interview use Wikipedia references on power point presentations, on subjects such as how they would form business relationships. When you inform them that they haven't got the job and that using Wikipedia is not an acceptable reference source, they sound shocked as if you are in the wrong!

    Boab,

I went up on a flyer today to Airdrie & found myself thinking about you. You used a word in a post a couple of weeks back that I haven't heard for many years. Guess what - I was in a traffic jam and the car in the lane next to me had the numberplate B18 FUD (with a strategically placed yellow button). Was nearly as funny as a prank we pulled years ago when one of our colleagues left work for pastures new, with the numberplate R5 OLE stuck over his proper plate.

Well, I foung it funny anyway. Perhaps you had to be there. <laugh>

Boab, idiots that use wikipedia for referencing aren't exactly people you want to be hiring for serious jobs.

And by the way, because im a 'I told you so kinda person' (im not really), remember the discussion we were having not that long ago about norwich putting in a bid for snodgrass. You disagreed with me and i said i'd get proof but i couldn't be bothered. Well here it is:

"We turned down a bid from Norwich and both parties agreed then that we would leave it until it suits us both. It's not as if we've got round the table in the last 10 days and things have stalled." said Grayson regarding Robert Snodgrass

Here's the link to that: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11715/7449868/Grayson-No-Snodgrass-issue

RE: wikipedia, I even get my 2nd year COMPUTER SCIENCE undergrads at Uni handing work into me that uses Wikipedia as references...That's depressing...

thats terrible. I was taught in school if we used that as referencing its an auto fail. There really strong on it in my uni as well

Saying that though. Wikipedia is a useful site and they are getting quite good with how they moderate it as well. I remember (as a joke, and dont ask why because it is a hugely long story) i changed the length of a ford mondeo to 30m long and i am now banned from changing anything on wikipedia. It is actually quite useful to get an understanding of topics as well prior to researching but definitely not used as a reference
