Just a thought: You are the Saints manager, you are in NA's position now and have the opportunity to strengthen. Who do you buy? What do you change? How much do you spend? Mine would be: Davis Clyne (Palace, £1.7m?), Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox M. Phillips (Pool, £2m), Hammond, Schneiderlin, Lallana Hooper (Celtic, £5m), Lambert I'm not a fan of spending a massive amount of money but it is only when you look at those prices that you realise how expensive it is becoming, many of the above are probably considered 'under value'. So what would you do?
As far as I'm concerned, we have over achieved this season and may not be in this situation again for sometime! So splash the cash on the players we need and lets have big push for promotion and not **** it up at the final hurdle!
Nothing wrong with Richardson but if we get to the premier league we will need a new RB I should think. I would play Cork instead of Hammond aswell or rotate all of the CM's deppending on who we're playing or the playing style we're after or up against. Other than that I agree

Unfortunately what we'll probably get will be - 18yr old slovenian left back for an undisclosed fee, or more likely, nothing

What?! The deal is done. As for Hooper, no, Celtic don't want to let him go, they've put a huge price tag on him and he doesn't want to leave anyway. These fantasies about Hooper and/or Rhodes joining us are just not going to happen.

I would like a new: RB - £1m - £2.5m - Possibly Clyne CB - £1m - £2.5m - Possibly Bennett (P'boro) RM - £3m+ - ANyone premiership quality ST - £5m+ - Decent first team player, Rhodes If we did the then automatic promotion would be easily possible
We won't get Clyne, Man Utd are interested in him and his contract expires at the end of the season. He's going nowhere right now.
Clyne would cost more than that and probably woiuldn't come to us. If you believe the papers, we bid £5m, then £7m for Hooper and Celtic rejected us. I think that one is dead unless we intend to go back in the summer.
