Reported to site management. They've got a vested interest in protecting this site and us from virus attacks.

This is not good, if it continues I will leave. Although I'm struggling to see
How you can get a Trojan virus from simply visiting a website?

Its very easy if you use IE, it would be interesting to see which browser bob uses.

Yes I just googled it, looks like the site is installing cookies or something without users knowIng, therefore allowing viruses to go undetected?

IE auto downloads stuff to your computer, other browsers require some kind of user action to get something nasty on your computer. obviously it shouldnt happen in a site like this but if people are using IE, especially the older versions (ie6 is like going to see a hooker without a rubber on!) then they are going to have all sorts or nasty stuff on their computers.

So according to bob, he caught a random Trojan virus from this site, that just by chance, knew myself and bob by name and that I was also an alleged Chelsea fan...

That is the biggest load of b ollocks I have ever heard and he only now seems to be backtracking after other members have verified I'm not a scum fan

I'm seriously considering knocking this board on the head as I can't be doing with all the hassle...

Well done, lets set panic by posting a thread. A PM to me or a mod and I might have given this some thought, a thread like this, well, bad judgement at best.
