I think I read Marv is targeting a March return.

That's not too bad although it's important we don't rush him back to action.

Definitely. He's back in training now though going by the pictures, hopefully just seeing him training will motivate Jonas, his best spells in the last 2 years have ALL coincided with Ben Arfa/Ferguson/Marveaux challenging him for his place.

Yea exactly what I said in the first page , Jonas seems to perform better when he feels that his position is under threat.

Against the 'lesser' sides we could get away with Ben Arfa and Marveaux on the wings, but against good attacking sides we'd get absolutely trounced down the wings.

You've summized that Marveaux will displace Jonas in the side from his 1 start & 5 substitute appearances? Tash you are the next Graham Carr and are totally awesome. <ok> (sarcasm in case anyone missed it)

Jonas works harder on the pitch than anyone else in our starting eleven imo. Would be very unfair to leave him out, plus our fullbacks would be under much more pressure without Jonas tracking back.

Jonas on left, Benny on right.

We just need Santon or another left back crossing from deep a la Enrique. Jonas brings other things to our game which not many players in our squad could replicate.

The article was a question, asking people their opinion on the matter.

Marveaux showed in all his apps what he's capable of. And it's not just 1 start, he started three times in the cup and once in the PL, and was the main reason we were still in it after the Notts Forest game.

Marveaux put in some fantastic balls into the box and set up some great chances.

Disagree if you wish, but all I'm saying is he should be taken very seriously. I would give him a proper chance, and If he carries on playing to the standard of which he did, I'd start him over Jonas.

Jonas' defensive qualities are definitely better, but Marvueax's creativity and deliveries are what I want to see on the wing. We will need quality balls into the box when Cisse and Ba are back.

We'll have two beasts in the box that will need good service. Jonas' doesn't often put in a ball thats any where near to the standard of the ones Marveaux put in in most of his matches.

It's just a thought, I'm not saying It will definitely happen, and I'm not saying that will be the line up in every game.
