"I can understand that the fans are upset about the substitution, especially when it doesn't work, but he had started to fatigue," Wenger said of his decision to substitute the former Southampton winger.
"He was sick in the week. Arshavin is captain of the Russia national team. You have an 18-year-old kid making his first Premier League start and a player who's captain of his country and they are querying the substitution?"

Yeah, it was no doubt a stupid decision. He was your best player and had an assist.

when the 18 year old kid is light years better than the captain of his country ( who already has his bags packed probably )............................yeah

I think YOU will be the last of the " positives" to take of his rose tinted specs.

But thats ok we are all used to it by now .

Thanks for being so understanding. I'm not worthy :)

....So many things wrong with this, I don't even know where to begin....

Why you're defending the absolutely diabolical display and tactics, Half Full, I really do not know.
How have I defended the display or tactics by quoting the reasons Arsene Wenger gave in a post match interview?

Seeing as you've been defending Arsenal and the team and have seemingly dismissed the major flaws we have, you gave off the impression from quoting that section of his post-match interview that you were also defending Arsene's decisions.

Tell me - do you think as a team we have got some massive problems? And do you think Wenger should go? If you honestly say no to both, then you are being blinkered and ignorant.

Things are far from perfect at the club, but I refuse to take pleasure from this fact as a couple on here seem to do. If a point being discussed is pure speculation, I will choose to speculate from the positive angle and leave the negative drivel to the doomers. If the issue is cut & dry I simply will not comment which is why you don't see me posting against most of the negative threads, just those of a couple of culprits.

Blinkered and ignorant I'm not :)

<ok>

we all have opinions.

<ok> I think it's important to respect the fact that whilst some of us differ with our opinions, we love the club and the frustration comes from being passionate about Arsenal.

I also think we need to be mindful on this board that some people want to use the tension between genuine fans to simply drive a wedge between us and stir up ****.
