Hang your heads in shame, truly diabolical performances from each one of you. Dan Harding: Terrible defending for the first, and pretty **** all round, couldn't pass, couldn't tackle was generally **** and showed why Fox starts ahead of him. Aaron Martin: Should not be allowed to play football again. Terrible, terrible performance. Turning his back on the ball for the second, constantly out of position, made ridiculous passes putting the team under pressure, BY FAR our worst performer. Dean Hammond: Didn't get his foot on the ball, kept giving it away, not a surprise he was subbed. David Connolly: Horrific game up top, constantly made bad decisions and fluffed numerous chances. On the up side, Hooiveld played well, as did Fox. Morgan had a good game, however didn't get the ball enough only made the one mistake, gifting Beckford the ball. Cork, fairly tidy again, but couldn't get on the ball same as Morg. Same for Falque, looked neat, decent enough feet but needed the ball. Guly played well up top, a few offsides but won more than his fair share, chased back a fair amount too. Was not helped by the poor service and poor performance of his partner.
Agree with the first half of your post, but not the second. Their were no "up sides" to tonights performance. Period.
I have just stopped for a "comfort break" (my age you know) and was shocked nay mortified to find myself in total agreement with Joey B! Good post, and let's stop all this hang together stuff. It needs sorting. Hopefully they are feeding Rickie on raw meat for the next one!
Have never understood why everyone loves Connolly so much, he's complete and utter crap. Gully gets all the stick from fans but is twice the player Connolly is.
Yep, Harding and Hammond were ****. Why didn't Richardson start? Turned out to be the wrong type of game for Falque.
I'm going to defend Martin. Not for tonights game, he was awful but he has generally done well this season.
I'm going to pile in on one player here and I don't like to often. Dan Harding, lazy, lacks concentration and tries to be too clever. He lets his man drift, then he charges over, gets the ball knocked past him and put in the box. A League One left-back, nothing more. Playing him out right didn't work at Coventry either, I was there, good going forward but as always, slack at the back. Not good enough. Why he was given a new deal I will never know.
he's played exactly the same all season, Leicester have been the first to exploit his frailties. Drag him out the line he has no ****ing clue.
Maybe because Connolly provided a vital boost last season to get us over the line. And his link up play and goals early this season/last few games are perhaps the reason why we have been top of the league for soo long but hey lets judge him on one crap performance.
Ha, I'm going to agree with Joey B and DTLW. Didn't see this coming, but hey, together as one (against Dan Harding). Horrendous performance, kept showing people into whatever kind of space they wanted, drifting out of position, never closing down or putting a tackle in, scared of the ball, and very weak going forward. Abhorrent performance from him tonight.
Connollys performance was uncharacteristic, the chances he had and missed looked like he was playing in carpet slippers.
His goalscoring record is appalling what are you on about? And Gully and Lamberts link up play are both better. I'm not judging him on one game, I just think he's finished and people and like him for old times sake.
Bullshit our worst player along with harding was cork at least hammond had drive and ambitions to get us forward yes it didn't work but cork was ****ing useless apart from the centre circle. Guly also and I love the bloke was kieron! (dyer). But sod it we are southampton were find right back n show how we are what were about and where were going.
