    Is this Willian player any good? I would rather have Lavazzi or Hazard than him. Don't trust reports saying he is the next big thing especially when Willian plays in a crap league. Can remember when we first signed Zhirkov everybody said he is the Russian "Ronaldinho" and that youtube video made him look like a world beater and he came to England and was rubbish, this has happened countless of times to us.

    Yeah all the players who have come from the dutch league to the premier league have never made it over here. Remember Afonso Alves Middlesbrough paid around £18m for him and flopped.

    Yeah he does. 29m for someone who plays in ukraine league is way over priced.

    Well to be fair we've never seen him. Everyone has to start somewhere. For me it's 50/50 whoever you buy, no good looking at where they currently play IMO because look at some of the players that haven't worked for us. AVB hasn't made a bad signing yet and I trust him in that area <ok>.

    Very true. Just don't like it when the press hype them up and they fail. Will give him a chance and support him if we sign Willian.

    To be honest I didn't think much of Ramires when we signed him for the price tag he carried, now look how good he is!

    Thing is 3/4s of our squad get hyped up and are meant to be this and that - Lukaku - " the next drogba ", Piazon " the next kaka " Josh " The next lampard " Luiz " The next carvahlo " PVA " The next ashley cole " Every holding midfielder we buy " the next makelele ". Countless examples, so anyone we buy will be a risk anyway so we never know if he'll be good or not, if we're going to base how good he will be or is on leagues then by that method a lot of our young players will be **** because they've come from **** leagues, only one way to find out and thats to buy him, even if he is awful at the moment we could do with taking the gamble because were lacking another good midfielder

    I seem to recall a certain player from the Dutch League called Bergkamp, and another called Sjneider who are not too shabby. Then there's Van Nistelroy, Rudd Gullit,, Marco Van Basten, Edgar Davids, and someone called Cruyff. Granted all from another Golden era.
    Thing is, good players pop up from everywhere these days. Did anyone know that Christian Vierri is not Italian but Australian ?? Born and bred in Melbourne, favourite sportsman, Alan Border !!!!!!!! Only went to Italy when he was in his teens. Qualified for Italy through parents.
    So, as previously posted, AVB has an impeccable record choosing up and coming talent so far. If he's in for Willian, that's OK by me. Or Hazard or anyone else he goes for.

    You're confused ?? I was responding to SW6 and Juan "spanish Flair ' Mata !!!!!!
    Maybe his mother's Ukraine and his father's Dutch or vice versa !!! Or he likes Dutch food and Ukranian beer.

    Ha, what a laugh. However still go with AVBs' call That's one thing he does exceptionally well.

    No Willian is Brazilian playing in the ukraine league. It was SW6 who thought he was in the dutch league. I just mentioned a player from the dutch league in response to SW6 comment.

    <ok>

    I was referring to those mentioned, along with Jimmy, Robben, Van Persie, De Jong, Kompany etc etc...

    My point was regardless of where they're playing and the poor quality of the leagues they could still cut it with the best in the world if they have the potential.

    Who's that SW6, the Ukranians, Dutch or Brazillians ???
    Sorry, I'm being a drop kick, I do get your point and agree completely. Geography has no relation to a players ability. If they're good enough, that's all that matters.
    Can I suggest I quit while I'm behind ?????
