This match so far has shown how unpredictable this league is(still got faith we can turn it around). It shows how ridicolous spending sums of money like 6 million is. We've been brilliant this season but we still may not go up spending that type of money is going to end in admin if we didnt got up, we could do without that pressure.
Aha was trying abit to be controversial, but seriously imagine the pressure paying that type of money would put on the club and results like this(currently) would be far more damaging.
Not at the game and dont have sky so cant comment on this match but for me connolly is class up to now this season.
Can we buy a right back instead? Possibly another central defender too as we had no back up tonight? Just a couple of thoughts to share with you... if you don't concede you don't loose games... and its not good with a back four with two left backs and a right back and, whatever Martin positon thought he was supposed to be playing tonight. Like Martin, but Jos kept the score down to two - could have been much worse without him,
This post reminds of when we were in the premiership and Lowe didn't spend after our season in Europe. We got relegated! Had we have spunked 6m on Hooper and he played tonight, i think it would have lifted the team. Given us a target to aim at and ultimately I think the game would have been very different. As it happens we didn't buy him and we'll never know!
Good point, what's he doing at present? Heavens, we need cover at right back and have always liked Martin - but after tonight I seriously have some doubts.
