I would say that he definitely meant it, and the more you see it the worse it looks..

Well thats a 4 game ban then since FA charges mean "You're guilty"

Really need to get shot of Tevez and buy a striker. Or straight swap with Pato or something.

Possibly not all that lucky now he's been charged. The slow mo does make it look very bad for him - if he's just trying to get his balance back why does he kick out at a 45 degree angle? Is his knowledge of gravity as bad as his knowledge of bibs?

The ban is a bit of pot luck tho - Rooney and Gerrard get away with it cos the ref saw it and did nothing, Rio and Balotelli get bans cos the ref "didn't see it". It's hard to see why the ref making a poor decision is any different from the ref not seeing the incident, other than in the eyes of the FA and FIFA of course...

What is the point in comparing Balotelli to somebody else for what amounts to a common assault. It was intended and it is blatently clear that it is. Come on some of you and stop trying to defend the indefenceable. The guy is a great player but is flawed unfortunately like a lot of great players are. Just for once put aside the bias and see this for what it is.

Having an opinion that differs from yours isn't bias.

The bias is because people who support clubs, more so in the premiership I would say, seem to think they have to defend their own no matter what. Look at the video above, take off any blinkers, then tell me he isn't guilty. As for the punish foreigners makes them sound racist when this is a case of assault as are numerous others where bans are imposed after a game. I have no idea what the percentage of players being foreign are who do this sort of thing but perhaps it could be that they are more often guilty of it than English players perhaps. Who cares, if he is guilty, and the evidence is there, then he deserves to be banned. I suppose Cantona was banned because he's French........or could it have been because he took off over a barrier and drop kicked a spectator. As for the FA well, most people know they are spineless unless backed into a corner for most things.

  12. In this case, common sense and sheer human decency mean "you're guilty". Bloody lunatic he is and- as I've said before many a time- a blemish on City's otherwise glitteringly talented squad. At least Tevez doesn't go in for a bit of GBH when he throws his regular tantrums.

Check other threads. I've stated my opinion on Ballotelli and have even said i found Lescott to be guilty.

The fact i don't think Mario intended it, especially on the "balance of probability", isn't because i'm a city fan its because i've looked at the clip in real time, slow motion, and from a couple of angles and I don't think he meant it.

Is this an "everybody hates Ballottelli" stance or "they are all picking on Man City" style defence. The discussion currently is about him and not Rooney. Rooney is a pratt some of the time and I can't see the point in not saying so but he did not stamp on Parker's head. Just because somebody gets away with something does not make an incident where somebody doesn't get away with it less. If you can't see what Ballottelli has done in that clip then you should seriously do something about your vision. I really couldn't care less who wins the premiership or who this guy plays for, if you assault somebody then you deserve to be punished whoever you are. This is not football it is something you expect to happen outside the Clubs on a Saturday night and should be treated as such. The small difference is that those thugs have stewed their brains with alcohol whereas this has happened on a sports field without any provocation that I can see and without the drink bit involved.

Rofl anything interesting to contribute to the debate or just some blind ignorant wummery?

For every "physics proffessor" on Ballotelli's side there seems to be a psychologist against him.

Did you not post links to videos such as Gerrard elbowing Brown? Or how about Gerrard elbowing Welbeck?
