When he became available I thought he might be a half decent signing for us, his name was mentioned in connection with us, he'd banged in loads of goals north of the border and even internationally he's got 7 in 16 games then he went to the Smoggies instead. Turns out he's pants and has now gone on loan to The Florists. Really glad we didn't sign him now, seems like he's Luque's sweaty cousin. Your thoughts on Boyd and also any other players you had a hunch might make it but turned out to be a big bag of bolts?
Thought he could have been ok due to his record like yourself. Its easy to forget you have to sometimes take records from lower quality leagues with a massive pinch of salt.
Mate at work is a Celtic fan and has seen him playing for Rangers, when we were linked to him he said he is a good player around the box. But doesn't have the pace for the EPL and would struggle in the championship. Seems he's been proven right, he slow and sluggish and is only any good when the ball is played into him when 6 yards out Glad the smoggies got him
Doesnt that actually show how poor the scottish league is. He was top scorer there but cant even make in Championship
I remember when we were linked with Kuyt, was gutted when he went to Liverpool. However i'm pretty happy he didn't choose us for a couple of reasons: 1. He is crap 2. Probably the ugliest guy alive
Doesn't it show you how bad the Premier League is when Charlie Adam was awful in Scotland, and he got plenty of opportunity to impress in the same team as Kris Boyd Kris Boyd was always a lazy player, the only thing he had was an excellent aim at goal. Without the luxury of having one of the best teams in the league doing all the work behind him he was always going to struggle.
he was class in readings first 'flukey' season still I always thought he had a bit more to give than Reading and the championship, what a waste of talent.
I'm sure I read somewhere that Lita has some "Ranger-esque" tendancies, thinks himself a bit of a gangsta and was regularly late for training etc Take heed young Nile!
seems about right to be fair, with correct application and determination he could of become a very decent EPL striker. Heres hoping IN DENIAL does not follow suit
If you give him chances in the box he'll score but he doesn't contribute anything outside the box really, and that's why he was often overlooked for the Old Firm games
