I thought we needed a couple of centre half additions to boost the defence, not right or left backs. Hill and Orr are both decent cover for Young and Traore. Unless Taiwo is going to be the left back and Traore moved up to midfield which might suit him as he likes to crack on. All gone quiet on the move for Samba front recently, dead as Dillinger by the look of it.
Oooof, I agree with you again Norway! I thnk Hill may well stay as back up to Taiwo, with Traore playing left side Midfield. Hill can also provide cover as CB or RB. Further if Taiwo is out, and we are playing opposition with extra speed on their right, Traore can be moved back to left back. Hill regularly turns in solid performances.
I agree he will need to be replaced, all in good time i.e. the end of this season, but my point was why do we need to off load him in the next 8 days, you will see if you read back. Do we need to move relegation fodder Derry on in the next 8 days as well?
Relegation fodder ! I think you need to look through the squad, there are quite a lot more players we need to get rid of before you start talking Derry and Hill imo, nothing like giving a little loyalty to those that have served us well.
Flyer, If you want to start off loading "relegation fodder" as you so eloquently put it why not start with Rowlands, cook, Vine, Dyer, Ramage, ****tu, Perone, Hall, Connelly, Hulse, Ephraim, Orr, Moen and Murphy. Hope I didn't miss someone out!!
No one will take them and none of them should be playing for us next season. Are you saying we shouldnt offload anyone because we cant offload those? Theres 15 players out of contract in the summer and I hope none of them are re-signed. I would also include Gabbidon in that list but think Ramage should get a chance at CB.
How can you forget Dave , we need to get him off the wage bill for pity sake. There is a lot of wages being paid there for absolutely nothing...
I'm with you in principle though not on each player. In general, on ability the "relegation fodder" who are playing a lot today, are going to be our back up squad players rest of this season even with a number of new signings. It is the guys that aren't good enough to play much now, or didn't even make the sqaud that need to go soonest. I think Hall will and should stay unless we sign more than 2 new CB's, Orr as back up for Young unless we get a new RB, and Murphy unless we get a new keeper.
Sorry are you suggesting we sign 15 new players between now and next season ? or have a squad of 10 players ?

You would have to be insane to want to sign any of those out of contract this summer especially as 12 of them are 30 or over. Out of those leaving, name the ones who youd want in your 25.
I would get rid of Faurlin as he will never be the player he once was and SWP as he is too small and Barton for having a big mouth and Kenny as he to short and fat for a goalie and Taarabt for sulking and DJ because by next season he will have tattooed his face and Traore can't tackle and Bothroyd too slow and still wears Ugg boots in secret and Cerny as his too old, Buzsaky wants to leave to be a real gypsy. Leaves us with the nucleus of a good squad.
