http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Roman-Pavlyuchenko-Newcastle-Sunderland.html Spurs offer out-of-favour striker Pavlyuchenko to Newcastle and Sunderland By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 10:49 PM on 22nd January 2012 Tottenham have offered out-of-favour Roman Pavlyuchenko to Newcastle. But Spurs may have more success with neighbours Sunderland as they consider their options with Nicklas Bendtner picking up an eye injury at the weekend. If we could get him on loan i would be happy he is proven in the PL
By sportsmail reporter ? Is the daily mail really full of that much bull they dont even mention the name of the reporter....
Would be a good signing but, how much will the robbing bastards at Spurs want for him? they quoted the Scousers 20mil for Defoe FFS so Pav will be around the same sort of money if not higher. On loan would be a better option but, again it'll have it's pitfalls, he does well and the price goes up he does crap and we've wasted all those wages must be close on 80k a week (see Bendtner).
if we sign anyone in January we're going to have to pay top dollar like everyone else, sadly. I'd have him in a heartbeat so it's a yes from me
Sure I heard that he is out of contract at the end of the season (unless spurs exercise a clause in his contract which has some pre-requisite he hasn't yet met) so they can't really ask for a fortune
You'd think that would be the case mate but, they always ask fortunes for their players whatever the situation. With Arry in court today they may need the cash for his fine.
If he's out of contract in the summer and Spurs can't exercise the right to extend his contract, sign him for free in the Summer - rtegardless of anything else if he WANTS to play for us he'll sign in the summer - as much as we could do with him now there is no point doing a Man City -De Jong scenario and spending for the sake of it. This loan deal may also give spurs the opportunity to exercise the clause in the contract and extend his contract (not sure exactly what it is but it may be a number of performances and goals or something) so loaning him may be doing them a favour...
Tottenham have extended the contract of striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, 30, until 2013 - but the Russian remains available for transfer. Full story: The Times [subscription required]
FYI his contract runs out in summer 2013 I think we will be looking to sell so we can bring someone else in...
Loan or a cut price deal would work but we can't be spending big on players of his age who would have little to no sell on value in a year or 2.
