The thing that annoys me a little about the Krul criticism, its the same folk who were hell bent of getting him in the team and Harper out because he was supposedly sub standard! I do wonder how much understanding they have of football sometimes. Anybody with half a brain can see GK's are always better once they hit 30. But some young keepers are so good they force their way in at the top a bit earlier (Casillias, Hart kind of guys). Krul is that guy for us and we just have to accept that he is still learning. I honestly don't think he was as bad as some are making out. We got too high and exposed him and Dempsey's finishes were top class. Taken early, hit low across the keeper, basically a keepers nightmare!

Fully agree also, Krul has saved us time and time again.

It's not Krul's fault he was exposed. Two penalties and three one on ones, he hardly had a chance.

Really? I thought Santon was top notch in the first half, never had to defend once and linked up loads in attack?

What did you think he did wrong in the first 45?

Looked slightly suspect in possession and kept playing the ball behind Colo and Williamson when trying to transfer it across the back. His touch was ropey as hell which is the last thing you usually criticize him for! (he even let it go straight under his foot out of play at one point) He always looks so elegant in possession but me and a few friends watching just thought he looked a bit dodgy all round. Went aimlessly long a few times aswell which is unlike him. Could easily have been sent off too at the end of the half. Quite what he was thinking getting so close with no cover behind is beyond me. I know it was a long way from goal but we weren't gonna catch him. If it had been the other way on I'd have been fuming because it was a goalscoring opportunity.

As I say he is a young lad who has been superb so far so I wouldn't crib him too much. I just thought him and Ameobi were poor all day, but even then Shola had a couple of moments first half. Why he won't work I'll just never know.

Nothing wrong with suppressing bad memories! I still don't believe my U12 school side had to share the league on the last day due to our dodgy keeper, and the teachers agreeing there didn't deserve to be a loser through goal difference. Didn't happen.
