Ta H, not all optimism is gone. We can do this!!!! Dont forget we beat them once this season already. True, but at the time they were unbeaten in several months at home.
Morning all, Still a bit grey here, but the sun is not due to get out of bed for another five minutes. The promise is for a day of sunshine and warmth which will suit me fine. All very quiet here without small persons up and watching TV. Feeling quite relieved that my classes have changed to a Tuesday, Monday was too much like starting a new working week.

Oh dear, the Pompey saga continues. Arry in court today, case expected to last two weeks at least, over unpaid taxes when he was down there. HMRC are expected to issue another application for winding up this week due to non-payment of Paye. They owe £1.6m and have no way of paying it. The last "serious" buyer who claims to have extensive wealth, but if he does hides it very well, has pulled out of the deal when he was asked to put down a deposit of £3m. The club ran out of money last month, yet are still paying a few players way over what they can afford and have to make payments due from the CVA shortly. This really looks even worse than it did last time. I can't see where the new buyer will come from when there are so many people with their fingers in the pie refusing to sell unless they get every last penny they are due. It would appear that selling players maybe all they can do.
For just how long can this farce carry on? If this was any other business they would have been wound up long ago...surely the government should make the governing bodies govern? On the subject of Millwall - looks like Doris is banging in the goals ahead of his likely spell sowing mail-bags.
Morning all, just thought I'd share this with you, very sad http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~2585664,00.html
That is sad Red and my thoughts go out to his family. If I'm honest to go out that way, watching the team you love and them to be winning at the time is probably something I would take. Especially when the world is full of all illnesses and the big 'C'. I hope no-one is offended by me saying this.
Yes sad indeed. I remember standing in the middle of the Vic. terrace when an elderly man had a heart attack just a few feet away from me.
Well 33 years ago today I joined the Royal Air Force, still going strong (well sort of) I have no idea where the time has gone, it just feels like yesterday honest
It wasn't a nice site especially sitting a few rows from the incident, the stewards and paramedics told us to make way and could see them doing CPR for about 5 mins, just shows how awful their job is but have to give them a huge amount of respect at what they do day in day out
I believe that was in 1969-70 season when we beat either Leicester or Cardiff 2-1 by coming back from 0-1 to score 2 goals in as many minutes. It was frantic in the Rookery when the second goal went in. I suppose if you are going to go, then in the midst of wild celebrations as your favourite football club wins a match is better than a lingering death....... Sorry, just reread your message and this chap died in the Rookery so can't have been the same bloke.
I cannot remember exactly when it was, but think it must have been around 1960 when the crowds were good. There were lots of people there on the terrace and it created quite a problem when the medics tried to get up to him.
With all these redunancies, I could not comment Luckily again my trade have been left out of the redunancy pot, not that I would be interested anyway. However there were a bunch of people getting ready to jump ship so to speak, which I find incredible in todays economical environment.
