Is anyone else very impressed with Nigel Pearsons ability or his staffs ability to identify young hungry players who are highly motivated and keen to succeed who no one seems to have heard off or made little success elsewhere. Best example being Stewart. Too early to comment on Amoo but bringing in unwanted to player from other clubs to our benefits and thrive eg Gerrard, Rosenior, Fryatt, Hobbs, Vito. His man mangement and talent identification is really impressing me. (I was inclined to say bar Guzan however when you think about other clubs who are struggling with injured goal keepers hes not a bad 2nd choice and to bring him in at a drop of a hat.)
I'm delighted with the players we've signed, and more importantly, its players that are young and hungry and can be the nucleus of our team for maybe the next 10 years or so. Makes a nice refreshing change to the over priced, average journey man players we'd been signing the 2 years prior to NP arriving.
Steve Walsh is the man when it comes to identifying and bringing in players.Top bloke who knows his job inside out.
