11.27 GMT: Liverpool have also been linked with Ghana Under-20 midfielder Mumuni Abubakar but manager Kenny Dalglish denied any knowledge of that deal. "It must be the academy,'' he said. "We are expecting a quiet (transfer) window - obviously the academy aren't but we are.'' 13.11 GMT: Kenny Dalglish has confirmed Liverpool are looking at a deal to sign teenage playmaker Joao Carlos Teixeira. Dalglish said: "There might be something about that, yes. If we've something to say we'll tell you but I think there might be something on that. He's only a kid."
17.22 GMT AC Milan defender and QPR transfer target Taye Taiwo could well leave the San Siro during the January transfer window. “A move abroad is certainly the most likely,” agent Fabio Parisi told MilanNews.it. I will hold my hand up and say I thought we should have gone after him when he was leaving marseille on a free. What happened to him that AC want to depart so quickly?

12.23 GMT Corriere dello Sport claim to have details of Lazio's bid for CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda. Apparently, the capital club have offered CSKA €2 million for his loan with an option to buy him for a further €10 million at the end of the season. midfield guile we could use and can see a pass. 12 million euro's isn't bad as well and he have been linked with him multiple times.
I'm actually quite alarmed that Kenny has described a 19-year old as '...just a kid.' I know he wants to protect and bring the lad through gently, but I'n not sure it sends out the right message to the 19 year olds here already, like Shelvey, who is looking to break into the first XI
not been getting a fair crack at juve, he has geniune pace which is what we need on the right i dont think he has enough guile to take the league by storm but he'd be a better option than Kuyt thats for sure. They already have aqua, straight swap or swap for kuyt.
Here is the report about this from the club site: "Juventus have approached Liverpool to see if they would be interested in signing Milos Krasic. The Serbian winger, 27, cost the Italian giants £14million in 2010 when he joined them from CSKA Moscow. Krasic has been a target for Chelsea and Fenerbahce during the January window after falling out of favour with Juventus. Tottenham and Manchester United have also been linked with Krasic, who has only played once since October." Would be a good buy in my opinion, we desperately need a bit of pace
Apparently has been a no show this season, and with him being injured it would take him the end of the season to find his feet. And Italian clubs are known for the whole 'we'll have them on loan with option to buy but never buy.' That's why i have no idea why liverpool keep getting mugged off sending Aqulani to Italian clubs when they will just wait until he can leave on a free.
He is a kid in terms of experience though. And everyone develops at their own pace, there's no point piling pressure on a player that won't be ready for another 2 or something years for first team appearances.
Genuine pace is a step above pace, for me, although I'm not sure it really matters. Arguably Liverpool have no genuinely pacey players. Downing, Enrique and Bellamy make a case I suppose, depending on how much you lower the bar.
I would go as far by saying Suarez has pace without being blistering whereas someone like Enrique is very quick. But we need someone who can run with the ball with pace - I don't want a Walcott!
Id say someone with 'genuine' pace is Bale and someone with 'pace' is Enrique. Saying that I wouldn't say there was much difference between the 2 and a 50m race between them would be interesting. People said Wallcott had 'genuine' pace but Enrique left him for dead when we we played Arsenal. So does that mean Enrique has 'genuine' pace? To be honest I don't have a ****ing clue - one thing I do know is I certainly don't have pace let alone 'genuine' pace!
