Is that 7/2 goals for/against? We've got the most points and best goal difference? And Fulham only scored more because they stuffed the mags? Wow... this is going really well!!
Yeah sorry the stats arent great, please find more info below: Team Pld W D L F A GD GFA GAA PpG Pts 1 Sunderland (10) 4 3 0 1 7 2 5 1.75 0.50 2.25 9 http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/PR/january.html
Walking on water is piss easy for this bloke. 2 consecutive manager of the months is a cake walk. Lol
Just a word of warning, the one game he lost was after he was cursed with manager of the month last time.
Don't see any reason why he can't take a second MOM award, we've got some very winnable games coming up.
Well done welder the kiss of death is upon us. Seriously though it would be a great achievement I think considering where we have come from since he took over. Staring down the barrel of yet another dogfight at the bottom, to looking upwards and making a top half finish a possibility. Also losing away to Chelsea is no great shame MOM or not.
Aye, sorry lads but i'm sure MON will do the business. Lets not forget, we got beat off Chelsea but most neutrals would admit, that they were hanging on and pleased to hear the final whistle. We're not leaking goals and we've started scoring at the other end, there's confidence in the team and the fans and that 'we can beat these' feeling has returned to the terraces again. Onwards and upwards mate, the only way to go.
Nowt like a couple of good results to get us all talking about beating teams we all know we should be beating especially at SOL. Makes a nice change from thinking we should beat them but, will take a draw routine. The next 2 games are still tough Boro will be hurting after some poor results of late and, Norwich will be looking to push on from their good results of late. It should be very interesting especially if we manage to get to the what ever round it is it's been that long I forget of the cup and take 3 points off Norwich. Happy Days mate.
Hope he wins it February, March, April, and May mate then gets manager of the season and world manager of the year (is there any more he could win)?
Let's not tempt fate but has anyone ever won 2 in a row before?? (Particularly for a mid-table side??)
In all honesty lads, maybe he does deserve it based on that stat but if it was up to me I'd give it to Steve Kean. For what that baldy has achieved with that ridiculous side, in the face of adversity and his players all wanting to leave...well it's nothing short of miraculous.
It has happened about 12 times since the MOM award was first given in August 93. Mainly, it has to be said, for managers of the big 4 but Joe Kinnear did win it in March and April 1994 when manager of Wimbledon and Paul Jewell in September/October 2005 at Wigan. It was also won in August and September 1995 by a manager of a small obscure northern club. His name is Kevin Keegan and I leave it to you to work out which team he was managing. You maybe interested to know that Martin O'Neill, including the December 2011 award, has won the award 8 times but, so far, never twice in a row.
