Yesterday Jay bothroyd was drop to the bench.

At half time DJ Campbell was taken off and Mark Hughes bought Tommy Smith on in the second half instead of Jay bothroyd.

Tommy Smith ended up playing on the left wing with SWP pushing up playing behind Helguson. (4-4-1-1)

I getting the impression Mark Hughes do not rate Jay bothroyd or am I reading too much into it?

Mark Hughes looking at our squad. "Hmm, one england cap, must be good. Mark and Eddie lets start him a couple of games".
Almost two weeks and a handful training sessions later. "Sorry, don't rate that Jay lad. Won't play again, lets go get that Rhodes fella".

If anyone can teach Jay to be an freescoring centreforward then Sparky can (Jay could be a modernday Sparky)...I wouldn't be suprised if MH is wondering about him, but I did think he didn't have too bad a game against MK Dons. Seemed to be moving around a bit more, making space, running a bit more
But if he doesn't play against Chelski then he's not in the plans........especially with DJ injured.
    We will see
    early days

<laugh> I mean no disrespect Beth, but that is insulting Sparky. They are so far apart as players can get. Sparky could run through a wall for his team, Jay struggle to run through air for us.

Jay Bothroyd looks like a midfield player to me. Maybe sparky should try him there..........

If u want to see how good Boothroyd is have a look at a tape of his performance for Cardiff v Reading in the first leg of the Championship play offs last year. Embarrassing.

Sorry Watford but it's not drivel. If memory serves me correct Jay asked to be substituted for a non-injury Fitz Hall style early in the game, biggest game of the season for Cardiff. Am i right White?

Ok, maybe that particular post wasn't, but Bothroyd was a decent albeit inconsistent player for Cardiff. He was immense in our game there last season.

Unless it's a last resort, I can't see MH letting Bothroyd near a football pitch again.

Norway - No, he did stay on - but he gave a pathetic, abject performance, diving anywhere instead of staying on his feet and trying to put his team in the final.

    Watford R - what's it like to be a tw*t?

Agree, was impressed with both his games against us.
Looks like I got that one wrong, must have been in the Playoffs the previous year.

<confused> What's the point with that? Uncalled for and out of order. Maybe it's time for you to jog back to your own board? Bye bye.

Sorry to hurt ur feelings. I didn't realise QPR fans were so sensitive. And if u feel that the QPR board is only for QPR fans I will toddle off.

I think it may have been a case of 2-0 up, we cannot afford to loose this one ore we are down, lets try to shut up shop a little. In the second half it looked more like two banks of four and swp to close down watson / gomes who were sitting really deep. I think it worked nicely and showed sign of tatics, which we have not seen for a while at LR.
