Each time Chelsea have slipped up this season your team had lots of opportunites to close the gap and every time you bottle it. So if Chelsea draw or lose against Swansea Arsenal will fail to close the gap always happens. Just glad Djourou is playing for you lot.

Typical response from a gooner <doh>. What does that matter when it comes to quality? You manage to find bargains, we don't. end of story.

We're also in transition under a new manager who is trying to adapt a predominantly Mourinho squad into a completely different style of play. They may be on massive wages, but they're still only human.

When was the last time Arsenal lost 3 in a row by the way?

Rubbish excuse. Is that the same manager that you paid as much if not more money then our record signing? Chelsea should be able to compete with the two Manchester clubs. No excuses. You pay your plays top end wages and they should be in the top end. Not 13 points behind the first placed team in January.

It's not an excuse, you choose not to spend big and look where it's got you for the past 7 years. We've won trophies every season except for last season and are still currently on course for the FA Cup and a long shot at the CL. Like I said before, our striker is the reason we are below par. We've sorted our defence out, now we just need to finish teams off!

don't want to argue because I'll never write Arsenal off but come on, Arsenal have been unbelievably inconsistant this season and to say that when Sagna and Wilshere come back (1 of them hasn't played competitive footy since last May! the other since October?) you'll be back on track is slightly over confident IMO. Wenger needs to make signings in order to compete now!

Hence, I said IF regarding Wilshere and Sagna. As for Chelsea, sorry with your wage bill and the sheer amount you spend in most transfer windows you really should be embarrassed to be 13 points behind City. Your forward is the only man letting you down you say. And that sums it all up. Like I said before you only spent the cool £50 Mil to get a new forward.

Why embarrased to be 13 points behind a side who spend considerably more than us on wages? If anything, bigger transfer fee's and bigger wages put more pressure on.

Unlike yourself, I'm not too fussed. If we go a few seasons without a trophy I will be.

They do? You had a bigger wage bill then them in May 2011. Since then they have caught up and probably over taken you but not considerably.

The only positive I can think of is that we have got most of the toughest fixtures under our belt already.

Wage bill and expensive players don't win ya games though mate, Uniteds wage bill and team was about 10 times more than Basels yet Basel won

Look at the names they signed in the summer compared to ours, they all would've wanted a fat wage packet.

Comparing a one off game to 22 games is a bit different. I am going by the league table.

Loads of examples though, QPR beat us ( mainly due to the ref but still beat us ), Swansea beat you, Crystal Palace beat man u , Bolton beat liverpool. Theirs countless examples, having rich expensive players don't mean **** all it's about getting the desire, passion, commitment and them playing to their best if you want to win games.

Difference between you and them last May was £41 Million in terms of wages according to the Guardian. I can't see how the purchases of City has made them bridge that gap and then go on to have a considerably bigger wage bill.
