Should Balioteli get a retrospective 3 match ban for his vicious stamp on Parker?

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Jan 22, 2012.

?

Should that thug Balioteli be banned by the FA for his stamp on Parker?

  1. Yes (because he is a thug)

  2. No (because I am an idiot and cannot see)

  1. I cannot believe that we have, for the third time this season, been denied a result due to the referee's incompetence!

Okay, so we can't change the score, and I am sure that Harry and the boys will pick themselves up, dust themselves down, and get back on with the job of challenging for the title. Realistically, we are the only London side that can now win it, after all.

But the FA has got to do something about Balioteli. He cannot be permitted to get away with yet another act of utter thuggery. If Howard Webb is too incompetent to do the job he's paid to do, then there is nothing else we can do but to look to the FA to punish £ity. It would, off course, help us for this thug to be banned, since it will further weaken £ity and make them more vulnerable.

There's not really an argument against it, is there?
Webb didn't see it and it was pretty blatant on camera.

    Lescott should be banned, too.

I watched the game this afternoon and was horrified what Ballotelli did. Absolute diasgrace. He will I am sure get a 3 game ban and so he should. It won't help you though unfortunately.

I was delighted when Bale curled that second goal in and Defoe was just too knackered and suffering cramp (I think) to reach the ball which would have won it for you.

Let us hope we can help you but our recent performaces do not bode well.

All the best and hope you pick yourselves up. At least ArseNIL lost!!

Chris Coleman should be banned for repeatedly calling him Botticelli, as well.

Yep agree with you mate. Howard Webb was at his best today not seeing the Balotelli and his thuggery and also Lescotts four arm smash on Kaboul. As you point out, Ref Foy solely denied us penaltys and a goal at Stoke and of course the goal against Wolves wrongly dissallowed last week.
These refs are destroying our season .

Let's wait and see how the F.A. view it. I suspect they will disagree with your view. For me, it was clearly a deliberate kick at Parker, and had it been seen, he would have been red carded. If Mankini had half a brain, he would make his peace with Tevez, and dispatch that ****ing lunatic back to Italy - or to anywhere stupid enough to take him.

Is this Mr "fair play" Parker we are talking about, he was lucky to be on the field, he commited at least 4 fouls worse than the one Mario got booked for. You lost a great game that could have gone either way, I thought you Spurs fans were better than this!

What a load of patronising bollocks! That ****ing idiot clearly deliberately took a kick at Parker's head. Like I said, let's see how the FA view it!!

And I thought you lot were better than calling for a foul every time one of your players got tackled or if the ball hit a player anywhere higher than the ankle screaming for a handball. Guess I was wrong.

Parker is a defensive midfielder. His job is to break up play and give the ball to the attacking players. Like Milner and Barry he does give away free kicks occassionally, but on the whole he is a fair tackler and not a cynical one. If a defensive midfielder gives away too many needless free kicks he is not effective and will not be in the side. How Parker's performance can in any way be likened to stamping on a players head is beyond me. You are just trying to justify the unjustifiable. Take off your light blue specs for a second and look at the "challenge." Just because your player commits it it does not make it "right" and for the most part, on this forum, we are better than that. I would not condone for one second any of our side doing it and would expect the player to be punished.

Your mob fella are picking up all the worse traits of your neighbours across town. Apart from the red or blue thing it's very hard to tell you apart. You have become everything you claimed you despised about UTD. You used to be a proper club. Must be a Manchester thing...

they did set a dangerous precedent - if balotelli says it was accidental and he was just trying to get his balance (like shearer claimed when he kicked a player in the head) they will have to believe him and let him off or punish him in which case he can accuse them of believing shearer and calling balotelli a liar - might even accuse them of racism - then the fa will run scared
