With decision-making like that, how can RvP be persuaded or encouraged to stay? That is the bigger question and possibly one of the biggest we have to ask this year.
Very disappointing - the substitution was unfathomable, Oxo was looking dangerous, so why bring him off? We could have gone on to win this game. Instead Arshavin was culpable for us losing.

Arsenal can at least be glad they weren't as bad as they were in the 8-2 but first half today, they weren't up to United's level at all. Second half, I thought Arsenal played much better...right up until Oxlade-Chamberlain got taken off - he was your best player by a mile. United probably just edged it in terms of deserving the points but Wenger has questions to answer over THAT sub.
This is what is so frustrating - we could have won this game. But again we've thrown it away. Poor substitution, indefensible.
I must ask what did Arsenal fans think of Wenger taking Chamberlain off and replacing him with a player who isn't exactly on form?
Do not understand why you are all angry with Arshavin. We know what to expect of him these days. He is not going to change, the guy is 29 and is going to be off soon. Not to mention the fact all he heard was boos when he came on. Even Messi would struggle to play without something like that affecting him. What does Arshavin have to prove to us? Frankly, he could not give two ****s. The MANAGER knows this. And its him and him only that should get the stick for this debacle.

I'd like to think we competed better in this game than the last drubbing we received by Man U. It's still a loss though, 0+0 = 0. On a positive note that's 19 for RVP now. Hopefully he can go on to win the golden boot.
How could you consider replacing Oxo with Arshavin? You could have replaced Walcott (poor again) with Arshavin - but not a great option. Ramsey was poor yet again, Song has no idea going forward. Djourou was given the run around again - what a surprise!! Even your captain was horrified at bringing Arshavin on. Go at the end of the season - PLEASE.
Agreed. Just what has Arshavin done recently or over the last year that gives Wenger the impression that he would be any use whatsoever when we are looking to win a game? The decision to bring off Oxo and replace him with Arshavin basically cost us the game. Poor decision. I can't find any sense in it at all and that concerns me. Wenger has got a lot to put right before the end of this season. If he doesn't then I think he is going to be under enormous pressure to step aside.
