@johnpercy has just quoted on twitter that we are signing a PL striker in time for the Saints game on Monday. Well.... If its true his follower count will certainly increase!!
Delfouneso is a winger that can play either side or in the middle - is only 20 odd too so would be a good signing imho.
If he's a winger then he's just what we need. Thing is, does this mean we won't be signing a permanent winger now?

Agree with this. Looks like he's flexible enough to fill a few holes, something we need at the mo. Probably hungry, too, after only getting 2 starts this season.
I dunno, I'd prefer proper wingers as opposed to makeshift ones, just look at Vassell. As an impact sub up front he might be OK but I'll be really annoyed if we don't get actual wingers.
According to sources at the Mercury, Delfounso has signed for the remainder of the season. Edit: not my sources I am in no way ITK iave just read on twattter.
I actually think this is a very good signing. He has alot of potential but he has stalled at Villa. If Nigel can get him going he will be a great player for us Plus he turns into one of the best strikers in the world on football manager
And on FIFA tbf. Then again they don't take attitude into account on that game. I nearly bought him but chose Sean Scannell instead. I'm beginning to regret it now as he's only scored 2 in half a season and both were in the Europa League
I think Delfounseo's been acquired as a striker with the added bonus that he can Play wide. If you think about it, the deal probably suits all parties. The player gets some more game time, Villa get someone fresh and hungry to come back into the side when Keane goes back to the USA and, with only 3 fit strikers, we get another option (who's young and eager to prove himself) to fill in until Jeff and Waggy come back. By the way, talking of signings, do we know what happened to David Cotterill? Reportedly, his trial went well but we've heard nothing since.
