Personally I have only ever blamed the ref once and that was against Stoke,I think I had good reason too.
Oh come on Half-wit, stop living up to your nickname. Even you can't claim it was accidental. Did you not see the incident?
That from your someone who supports a team who have already lost 7 games this season (8 in a couple of hours) and according to their manager played well and with a great team spirit every time.
We should also see if Webb was correct about the stamp as he didn't give a free-kick.So it will be looked at and Balotelli could be banned for dangerous play.
lol, you annoyed PNP? Lescott's elbow was not intentional imo. Strong case for Balotelli though, don't think Webb saw it so expecting the FA to give a ban.
They just proved that Webb wasn't even looking at the stamp, so of course he couldn't send him off. Balotelli will be punished for this by the FA, mark my words, unfortunately that's not much use to us now.
Lescott's was more obviously intentional than Balotelli's, in my opinion. It was pretty blatant. The presence of other players may have distracted Webb, but I can't see how anyone watching the footage back thinks it was an accident. I'm annoyed that Webb was allowed to take charge of this game in the first place, to be honest. You can see the reaction to the news before the game. Universally negative.
Actually if we go back and look at match threads,I doubt you'll find we blamed the ref at-Man U,home against Man City,Swansea,Wolves. The only one that stands out in my mind is Stoke.
It was clearly intentional - the arm movement was deliberate and not a natural action for the defender in that position. It was cleverer than Balotellis I will grant you....
Good to see some gracious comments from other fans here, Drogs, Samir, pompey etc. Shame Half Full is letting his team's fans down. Hoping for a 0-0 between Arsenal and United
I disagree tbh, both tricky to judge from Webb, who doesn't have much time to decide with only seeing it once, and they both happen quickly. I did see that and he was very poor today.
We could sit here ranting and raving about Balotelli but it won't change the result - we lost the game and are now 8 points off the top and 5 in front of 4th. Our next PL match is at home against Wigan a week on Tuesday so we need a quick return to winning ways in that match. We can take the fact that City didn't have much more than luck in their favour today - we played pretty well overall - negated City in the first half and when it opened up in the second, we put away 2 good chances. Let's focus on that, rather than feeling down about the penalty etc. (Ironic that I felt so negative before the game - now feeling pretty positive)
No, what I need is for whoever picks the refs to do his job. We keep getting pricks like Webb and Clattenburg for important games, when we have 'history' with both. It's ridiculous.
I forget about Ade's offside goals. Can't be bothered to think about silly mistakes like that. Just hate it when people come on here just to say we moan, when they have a manager who is the epitome of moaning.
David Platt showing that he did actually learn something at Arsenal: "I haven't seen the incident with Balotelli"
Half full.... Wenger whines at EVERY decision yet you slate spurs fans for being unhappy that mario b werent sent off for a deliberate stamp. You lost away to fulham and to swansea in your last 2 matches yet you mock us for losing away to city. You call ledley ****e yet look at some of your defenders. You truely are an idiot
