Wonder if Citeh would have been a position to win it had both Lescott and Balotelli rightly been shown red cards? We didn't play for 55 mins but bossed the last 1/3 of the game and should take some positives.
King of all people. Can't blame Defoe,Bale should have played the ball much earlier. Same score as another game between the 2 teams.
What can you say! We did not deserve to lose that. Spurs creative passing better, City slightly stronger in the tackle. Honors even in my book. That's football.
to be fair, it was. as a utd fan, im appalled we sold webb to city, but he had a great game, there was no way balotelli shouldve been on the pitch for that penalty. daylight robbery, city were awful.
Man City let 4 goals in all season at home,we score 2 and Balotelli looked like he stamped on Parkers head. The pen was correct,so I can't really understand your comment.
The pen was correct, but the person who earned it, and scored it, sould have been off for stamping on Parker's head.
I don't think anyone's disputing the penalty - it was a terrible tackle from a normally solid defender. Balotelli was never gonna miss either - he's excellent at them. We deserve to feel aggrieved though - Defoe's miss was more Bale's fault than anyone (took FAR too long to play the ball in) and Mario shouldn't have been on the pitch to take his pen (neither should Lescott really). Overall - we played really well. I predicted us to lose and be completely outplayed - I was only right in 1 aspect so that's 1 decent thing to come out of this game.
He did miss Lescott's elbow to Kaboul's jaw though and the possible Balotelli stamp, plus a host of more minor decisions. Trust you to back Webb, though.
Scoring 2 at Citeh is certainly praiseworthy The alleged stamp - I don't think so & nor does the ref. The penalty - 100% correct decision The blaming of the ref for Spuds dropping points - as predictable as night following day. Go back to any match thread after you have dropped points and I defy you to find one where the ref isn't blamed.
The first two games of the season, our draw with Swansea and probably the Newcastle game, too. You're wrong. I notice that you've failed to mention Lescott's elbow on Kaboul.
a strange one for me. I thought the officials were all over the place today. throw ins, corners, free kicks - loads were missed for both sides. as for balotelli - the bloke needs banning like Suarez.
Only 2 games? Your memory is as ****e as King's defensive abilities. As for Lescott, minimal contact and purely unintentional.
As a neutral, I would say that first, what a game, but second, sadly some dirty play from Citeh today and Balotelli was a lucky boy to stay on. He may not have heard the last of it. Harry has turned Spurs into a marvellous team to watch, by the way.
