ok ok. Firstly, unlucky, you tore us to pieces first half, without your two best players. We came back into that game because of a penalty that shouldn't have been.
Fan wise, first half was ****, properly ****, i don't know why it was so incredibly subdued. Second half though, it was not; it wasn't amazing, but it was perfectly good. Just re-watched the game, and the Clint Dempsey song, and 1-0 and you ****ed it up, was louder than anything you whipped out. However, this is often said by away fans, and it is only really european matches, or against big london teams when the cottage rocks. The problem is firstly the ground, without the corners, looses sound very quickly. Secondly, the fulham fans that sing, (actual songs) sit at the top of the end opposite you, so its hard to hear them. You cant hear them, but then we can hardly hear you. (which might supprise you, I bet being in your end was defening.) Lastly, what makes it worse is that the fans you have near you in the riverside stand is a combination of rich season ticket holders and rich tourists. None sing. We had a load of songs going on at our end, but due to lacking many really passionate fans (or many fans at all) its only the end opposite you that sings. But yes, yesterday was weirdly subdued for a 5-2 win, but re-watch the game second half, theres quite abit of fulham noise. Lastly, the area hammersmith and fulham has a population of 170'000, alot of whom are wealthy with no interest in football. That area has three premier league teams, fulham, chelsea qpr. The thing is unless you live in the heart of fulham you dont support fulham. As a result we lack passionate noisy fans, but to be honest anyone who really supports fulham is a good fan, or they'dve chosen another team.

Not been to the Emirates yet, but heard that's the case.

And Gillyffc, I think ground dynamics definitely come into it with sound effectively escaping out the corners.

Although what shocked me most was that I had to pay £6 for a cheese burger outside the ground!

The most over-rated has to be Stoke. I know we dominated them in the 3-1 and gave them very little to shout about, but other than a chorus of Delilah in between their goal and our third, they didn't make a sound. That's at a ground that is supposed to be the loudest in the country. St. James' is louder at cup games than the Britannia was that night.

Blackburns fan base seems to be made up of a bunch of teenage spice boys who think it's the "hip" thing to do by going to games.

Apparently during the away cup game, a bunch of pre pubescent lads were running across the empty stands and taunting our fans. Then in the FA cup game, they brought no more than 100 to our place of which about 8 actually sang, mostly ****ty cocky songs about Shearer and winning the league. <doh>

Then when one of our fans had a go at them, they came out with "Ya what, ya what, ya what ya what ya what!", seriously, that song's ****!
