According to Sky Sports, Simon Grayson insists Leeds United have 'no intention' of selling any other players ahead of Jonny Howson's imminent departure to Norwich City.

So, does this mean that each transfer window we sell one or two of our best players and as long as we don't sell more than that, thats ok....Lets not forget of course, then replace these players with either free transfers or loan signings....
    :emoticon-0149-no:

Here are a few of our players that we have sold for decent money :-

    Gradel £1.75m

    Schemichel £1.5m
    Howson £2m

    Delph £6m
    Woods and Tiawo £5m

Here, we have part of a list of players we have bought in last few years

    Jason Crowe
    Billy Payner
    Bessone
    Paul Connelly
    Richard Naylor
    Lloyd Sam
    AOB
    Paul Rachubka
    Alan Sheehan

    Q) What do all these transfers have in common?

    A) Apart from being useless and very difficult to sell on, they were all free transfers or cost next to nothing....

    Q) Why did they not cost anything???

    A) Because nobody else wanted them...

    Q) Why did nobody else want them

    A) Because they are not very good...

We still have half a dozen players that either refuse to play for us or are a liabily. What have the club done to get rid of Rachubka, Connelly, AOB, Parker, Kissa and Paynter???

In fairness Crowe and Naylor were both good in league 1, and Connolly and Sam have both done a job in this league. Just because they're useless now doesn't mean they're crap signings.

Simon, we're Leeds United. 'Doing a job' players should be for the smaller clubs, especially when you look at the teams in the Championship. I'd say 80% of the teams in the Championship based on the size of their club are punching above there weight.

'Doing a job' is just a way of saying that a player is ****e but runs around a lot.

Example sentence: Danny Pugh does a job on the left wing.

Hello Leeds fans, I'm here in peace.
Just noticed you're all still talking as if the Howson thing is done and dusted. It's all gone very quiet at all ends. Is this because our boards were both very annoyed it got leaked to the press and are hoping it will all blow over before announced or do people think it might have fallen through?

I know for a fact our board won't have released it to the press because in the summer when our Craig Mackail Smith bid got f***ed by the press Lambert refused to speak to the bbc for six months. But I can't imagine the Leeds board wanted this out in the open either.

Also, you say Howson price is £2m, but there's a lot of reports now that it was £750k with lots of add ons. What do you reckon?

I'm sorry but that's bollocks. We're a Championship team on a League 1 budget, being Leeds United unfortunately means very little right now.

Simon, thats exactly what Im getting at. We SHOULD not have jobbers, they should be at the league one sides. Leeds Utd should mean a lot more then it currently does...

I agree where your trying to go with this thread but i think you have got it all wrong and i disagree with your questions / answers.

Billy Paynter, Paul Connelly, Richard Naylor, Lloyd Sam and AOB where all wanted by other clubs and not just mickey mouse clubs either. Billy Paynter was wanted by most championship clubs, AOB had offers from a few other clubs as well including Cardiff. Not only this, but you have purposely chosen players who were not very good players, half of em were signed as squad players pushing for first team. There are many players who we have signed on a free who have done a fantastic job yet they are not on your list because your trying to bend statistics to suit what you are saying.

Next, Woods and Taiwo are hardly players that were in the first team and we weren't looking to replace them (I know what your saying, were'd the money go but your talking about key players and these were not key players).

I love how now Connelly is useless because grayson has now decided he wont play again when onyl a couple months ago he was considered as a very reliable RB who did an alright job, how things have changed. Not only that but Jason Crowe and Naylor did quite well in League 1 and you need to remember they were signed for that league and not the championship so can you seriously consider them to be bad signings?
