Half Time Music is often mentioned on here.

Yesterday saw a welcome reprisal of Into The Valley pre-match. Lovely.

How about we all pick a half time mix, similar to the players god awful choices, and each week a different not 606er gets a go to choose say 8 minutes worth of appropriate music?

For Example I choose:

The Small Faces - Happy Boys Happy (1.36)
Paul Weller - Aim High (3.08)
Serge Gainsbourg - Le Horse (3.42)

Thoughts??

 

The Pointer Sisters - I'm so excited.
Pet Shop Boys - Go west.
Randy Newman - Short People.

 

Maybe Save that selection for when we're losing at half-time and need to come from behind eh Super?

Have Charlton ever thought about posting the music in the programme

I know when I went up to Walsall they had a page covering the selections @ Half time from the previous home match, so frustrating at times as you play a good piece but i cant tell what it is

 

We've got a big screen haven't we? How about a 'now playing' section on it?

 

I was wondering about that, I thought it sounded like AC/DC, either way it was rather unexpected!

It was AC/DC (the name of the song escapes me) worked really well...though I wouldn't class it as heavy metal, maybe hard rock

 

Good to see the AC/DC went down well! It was "Shoot to Thrill" and "Thunderstruck" that i played yesterday.

 

Awful Addicks FM yesterday, makes me worry about the squad....I started playing "Into The Valley" a few games ago, I slip it in after the Addicks FM now.

I like the idea, the only problem is that from all different angles I get requests as you can probably imagine. Also I don't know what is going on half-time until that day, yesterday we had a video which was over 4 1/2 mins long which eats into a big chunk of the playing time already.

Let me think about it. Maybe we could make it two tracks.

 

Dave asked for something to build up to the 2nd half, the track being used for some reason was not loud enough so I switched to that. People loved the AC/DC before the 1st half too. I had been playing their album on the way to the ground very LOUDLY!

I thought AC/DC is heavy metal, that's what it's categorised as in record shops and it worked well.

Would be good if we could devise a playlist on here before each homegame. each member could be allocated a home game and 10 min slot? or something like that, just an idea

Just to be controversial but wouldn't it be nice to have absolutely no loud music at all before games!!!! I remember the good old days when you could hear the crowd gathering momentum before kick off. Nowadays my eardrums are shattered and when the music stops the crowd feels quiet in comparison. Real atmo killer for me. Now where's me pipe and slippers.....
