Cheers Igor. Typical that we couldn't get on here after a great win. I hope they sort it out in time for the transfer window finale. Our board will be going into meltdown when we start getting players in.
I started trying before the end of the match and only got in now. I tried to get into a couple of other clubs sites to ee if the problem was linmited to us - it wasn't I'm happy that problem earlier is fixed
You lot seem to be saying you couldn't log in on here... Lucky you. I couldn't get online at all until this morning. Are you sure it was just not606? I'll check on the mod board.
Yes Brix, it was just Not606, from just before 7.00pm until after midnight. You can imagine how frustrating it will be on deadline day if this crashes like it did in August...
I got in on every other site I tried Brix on both PC and Mobile, but the only Site I could not access was Not606. Occasionally I got into the home page, but not to the PL Clubs.
Mod board and site owner suggest it was a DDOS (distributor denial of service) attack. JA606 was also affected and maybe others too. At the time the site(s) went down (c.6pm yesterday) all systems were running fine with no overload. Such attacks are usually aimed at banks and similarly significant organisations - rarely on small beer sites like football message boards. Really? Who are these people. They need to get out and get a life instead of sitting on their computers all day.
The server becomes overloaded with Users, happens especially after games; the website usually slows down on a saturday afternoon... I don't actually think its a new thing. If they improved the servers it could handle more users....? Brix, maybe it was an angry wigan fan...?
There are enough nutters in football fandom Nines. You should know that (joke)! Seriously though. Electronic version of arson, no?
Neg, Youngster. Seen image report on our systems at 6pm yesterday. All running fine with more than enough free memory etc. for normal incoming traffic. Site servers updated recently with back-ups in place. A DDOS attack is designed to effectively overload servers etc. for reasons best known to the (anonymous) culprits.
