I think all supporters feel great at a time like this, hard earned three points with Palace losing. Conversely, when we lose, one feels down and left with only a todger to scratch. Fantastic win 49 points!
woohoo, boro lost aswell, always good to win a game at the end, especially after going down, by the way Thai, i saw a bit of the norwich chelsea match, what an unbelievable job lambert is doing, he must be on course for manager of the season if they keep this up
Look at the side Palace put out today, I'm not 100% sure but I don't recognise any of them from the team we played there. That being the case it is pretty obvious where Palace will want to get some success this season and its not the league. Was in hospitality today Canton end, in line with the penalty spot. I thought Conway might get something today. He wrong footed their defence twice by going down the outside - he can do it if he tries. Also, he had 2 good shots blocked previously. To be honest he was my man of the match - might have been Darcy for me if he scored what would have been a goal of the season in the first half. What is it with us and right backs who get into great scoring positions but can't finish? Apart from Marshall's gift and their second, did Pompey have a meaningful shot on goal? While they defended well they were pretty poor everywhere else on the park and if we had gone in 3 - 0 up at half time it wouldn't have been an injustice and we would have run away with it second half. I see Ethuhu hasn't got any better since leaving us. What was he doing in central midfield apart from running in ever decreasing circles? Not a great attendance today when it was being hyped up as the best of the season. Mind you I saw Damon Searle after the game and he told me all premier and hospitality seats have gone for Tuesday and with Palace selling their 3,800, a crowd of 26k minimum is expected. Hopefully we sold a few more on the back of the late winner. It will be rocking on Tuesday.
Strangely enough there has already been talk about that but not by the Norwich fans! Lambert and Rodgers have both been mentioned and if one of our two teams can make the top half at the end of the season the manager could be in with a shout
forget rodgers, labert has back to back promotions and his 3rd year the team (no players with any PL experience) are mid table in the PL, this is a completely unprecended level of success. forget people like mancini and moyes (everton have a massive wage bill), this guy is the real deal and surely a shoe in for the award
I must admit I got that one wrong BfB, I thought we would have got a lot more yesterday. There was only 88 tickets for the Ninian Stand on the web site Friday but if ST holders don't turn up there will be more empty seats. The family stand is always "Sold Out" but has about a quarter of empty seats.
I suspect that's always going to be the case Rhondda. The "tickets available" info will never reflect the final turnout. It depends on ST holders whose attendance we tend to think is automatic. If they don't turn up for justifyable reasons (and there are plenty of them if you have a family), we'll rarely have a "sell out" in terms of actual attendance, but at least the club will have had the dosh.
good win yesterday for you guys keep it up! be briliant for wales to have 2 premier league sides. Rodgers has just as much of a chance as Lambert look at the football the swans are playing for a promoted side to out play not far off every teem this season. Norwich are higher in the league but there more of a direct team. with long balls.
Agree there Sparks and it's money in the bank early too, still over 22k yesterday we shouldn't complain really. Cheers, yes a good win, though left it late. As for Norwich I think IMO the Swans should use the direct approach more often, it's nice to play good football but you need to mix it up sometimes. You might get a few more goals. Fair play though you're doing well so far, keep it up.
