according to some people, BP revealed yesterday in the pavillion that howson didnt want to leave, and was happy to stay out the season to see if we could get promotion, before reconsidering the contract offer. this would be contrary to the tale that howson wanted prem football in this transfer window apparently he also said howson was offered the same terms in his new contract as his old one before having the mic grabbed off him.

might just be bullshit, but quite a few on fb have said its true

    anyone no anything about it?

well he would want to see out the final 2 months from march to may,as this would allow him to get a much bigger wage at any new club. The only thing that should concern us is did we offer him a fair deal.

If that was the case, why would'nt he go to the press, Andew Haigh for instance....

    A) because Andrew Haigh's a nobody (albeit Twitter celeb, somehow) working at the Sun who barely writes three stories a month.

    B) because it would get him sacked straight away for going to the press and revealing club secrets.

Apparently this was during a Q&A session at the Pavillion before the game with Lorimer, Parker and others on the panel. Parker said that the club valued money more than it did the player Jonny Howson, and that's why he left. Lorimer then apparently snatched the microphone away from him and threatened to end the session if people kept heckling.

So even if the club did try to sack him for that, at least he didn't run to the press and would have hope of some compensation due to him only answering a fan's question honestly, if you see what I mean, rather than actively spilling to a journo.

How could he get in trouble if its the truth?

AOB SAYS HE WON'T EVEN PLAY FOR US AGAIN, AND THE CLUB ARE TIPTOEING AROUND HIM, AND STILL PAYING HIS WAGES....

Paul Connelly apparantly won't kick a ball for us again. There is a lot more going on behind the scenes

There has been "trouble at t'mill" for months and months, with most senior staff members not communicating with each other and Bates not talking to anyone (except his fecking puppet Grayson). The atmosphere is not good, with morale at an all time low throughout the organisation. The issues are all related to the direction the club are heading, with only Bates and a few puppets agreeing with his business plan. This is not new news, some on here (including myself) stated this ages ago and the majority on here attacked me for suggesting there was problems!

Would you say that Lorimer and Gray fall into the puppet category???

I just think he'd be more likely to have his contract terminated for breaching company confidentiality rules if he deliberately went to a journo, as opposed to answering a genuine question from a fan at an event like the one on Saturday. There's a risk in either, but the first is a lot more calculated than the second.

AO'B obviously has something on the club (i.e. them not being sympathetic to his depression), otherwise he'd be long gone by now, and I imagine Connolly's been lazy in training and obviously he's been poor on the pitch too. With Parker, it would be a more serious offence.

I concur that Lorimer is a puppet, by the way. Not sure about Gray too much because I never listen to the phone-in after games.

I'm 100% about Lorimer being a Bates person. If you had asked me the same question about Gray a few weeks ago, I would have suggeted he was also a Bates supporter, but things have changed with Gray and his tone and concerns raised would suggest he is rather fed up with the whole thing and now wants a change.

It must be difficult for both Lorimer and Gray, two outright legends of the club. They are both employed by the club in some capacity and probably rely on the income from the club and after diner speaking to make there money. If they fell out with the clubs owner, it would be difficult to do anything else, as both are so closely associated with Leeds.

Parker has dropped himself in it for this and he will be gone at the next possible convinence. Bates doesn't like players to have freedom of speech that's why the club's got that Twitter Ban. They used Somma's injury as an excuse due to the fact they made fools of themselves when Kasper told us there was no contract disscussions between him and the club when they flogged him to Leicester.

bigfatboab, stop talking like you know the club inside out. Are you Ken Bates, Simon Grayson or Lorimer?? if your not in these sort of positions inside the club, chances are you have no idea what is actually happening inside the club.

I guarantee that Howson never wanted to leave, and i doubt norwich will be offering anything that leeds couldn't money wise. It was always out there that howson was ready to see out his contract to see how far away leeds were from the prem before deciding (obviously being in the prem means he signs a new contract)
