Watching the FLS yesterday I was struck by the amount of awful performances in our league.

Boro went 3-0 down against Coventry and seemed absolutely gash, they might as well have had no 'keeper at all for the first two goals and the third was a comical own-goal where yes he was forced to face his own goal but didn't make much of an effort to steer it away from the goal. They also got two really unnecessary red cards. This from a team supposedly with the best defence in the league, and I hear they've had a couple of other bad results, wheels coming off maybe?

Also, Ipswich. I've publicly defended Sonko for his City performances several times (and I thought he did well against us the other week) but he was absolute ****e against Leeds yesterday. He tried to recreate the Hobbs/Gulacsi mistake from Burnley but did it outside the area meaning the 'keeper was sent off for handling it. Then he made no effort whatsoever to stop McCormack going past him to equalise and I'm pretty sure there was something else too.

Oh and West Ham, I'm pretty sure no one cares much for West Ham on here so I can have a good rant: Why do some teams get so many penalties? I've said this for years about Stoke and Burnley but West Ham seem to be the latest team to get plenty. They got two yesterday, one which maybe was a penalty but we definitelty wouldn't have got it. What I don't get is that most Championship refs seem very reluctant to give penalties (either way) except when it's West Ham. Mark Noble must be one of those players competing for top scorer purely by being a decent penalty taker.

All a bit irrelevant I know, but I like a good rant.

Based on the last two performances, I think it's fairly obvious that starting with Fryatt and switching to Mclean for the latter stages, is better than doing it the other way round(and I think King will get himself into contention for a start in couple of weeks, me might even get the nod against Crawley).

I think the standard of refs in the Championship is superb.

A forward should only be judged on how many goals he scores!! FACT.

I think the Crawley game is an IDEAL opportunity to start King up front. Fryatt and McLean can be rested, Stewart should start as he needs to rediscover his sharpness, same applies to Oilyvagina. Robbie and his owners want him to play as many games as possible as well. McKenna can be given a week off, Dudge can be given a a start as can Cairney as his passing ability will be useful against lower league opposition. Cooper must start as well.

    My team would be

    Carson

    McShane Cooper Hobbs Dudgeon

    Cairney Evans

    Garcia Brady Stewart

    King.

Never mind our division and the PL, just how many own goals were there in the lower leagues yesterday? And I don't just mean Duberry with his imperfect hat-trick of scoring left foot (og), header (og), and right foot (not an og).

Oh and the Torquay defender that didn't concede a penalty for handball. If an FC player took a ball like that for a try they'd be chuffed.

It depends if we want to go any further in the cup, I'd play as stronger team as possible . If it's a cup run we want we can't take crawley lightly.

Cup run??? why would we want to increase the number of games to be played this season especially since we could be involved in the play-offs?

    I'd guess at something like...

    ----------Carson

    Evans Chester Cooper Dudgeon

    ------Cairney Olofinjana

    ----Garcia Brady Stewart

    -----------King

Though I'm not sure that Nick will start King, as he hasn't started a competitive game this year.

I would also go for this team, maybe Brady instead of Stewart, just as Brady has not had too many starts of late.
