My absolute favourite SEJ album is Goodbye Yellow Brick Road...but my next is the Two Rooms album with artists doing covers over SEJ songs. I would recommend everyone to get this album if you do not already have it....this is my favourite track, but i also love the versions by The Who, Hall & Oates, Rod Stewart, Wilson Phillips & Joe Cocker...just check this out for beauty There are women and women And some hold you tight Whilst others keep you counting the stars in the night

Thanks for that w_y - it took me right back to an open air concert in Queensland in the mid 90's - about half the town were held spellbound by him for over 2 hours. Sheer brilliance, with such a surprisingly powerful voice. I first saw him in concert about 20 years before that on a Great Barrier Reef island - again sheer brilliance, even though he was heavily under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both at the time! Mind you, so was everyone at the concert.
BB - I would love to see him in concert as well as Hall & Oates. I have been looking out for gig dates for Hall & Oates and they are gigging in Oz at the moment - I would love to go, some of the gigs are in Wineries!!!! - what is that all about? Seeing one of your all time bands and drinking wine - surely not?
I'd say it's possibly about diversification and free advertising! I know nothing about growing grapes, but would imagine that there comes a point when it's better to rip out the vines and let the soil rest for a while - maybe that's where they hold the concerts. Peter Lehman Wines in the Barossa Valley have a huge marquee set up on their land, along with a sort of sound shell for the better weather. I went there a few years ago when the concerts were more up market, chamber music types of affairs and not for the hoi poloi (I hasten to add that I simply went there for the wine!) - but they seem to have set up a circuit for aging rock/pop artists now. The Jo Cocker concert on the island was just awesome - it was outdoors too. I can still remember him coming onto the stage looking for all the world like a battery operated rag doll that had just been pulled out of a bath - dripping wet, head and body twitching & arms flailing around, but when he started singing he was just superb. And at the concert 20 years later, he had actually improved - probably because he was sober and drug free.

In honor of the new arrival. If its not right, let me know. I am posting this in the middle of a retail marketing lecture.
Tut tut... should be paying attention! Can't believe America are remaking this... I just can't see how it's gonna work over there.
Probably the same way they were remaking Fawlty Towers- with out Basil Fawlty!! So it will be OFAH with out Rodney.
When they did Red Dwarf, they had someone completely inapproprate playing Lister - only good thing they did was having Robert Llewellyn as Kryten. This is about the only song I can find in relation to it:
