Sinclair had a glorious chance to put us one up. So dissapointing that within seconds we ended up one down!!!....

From then on it was all the play & possession in the world, but no end product. Sunderland scored two cracking goals, fair do's. But after the first they just sat behind the ball in numbers & totally frustrated us!! They did their homework.....
Even with as much as 68% possession at one stage, it was always looking diffucult for us to get through. It's up to us find solutions to convert the possession to real clear-cut chances. We didn't do that today!!! With all that ball, it's shocking we lost, because I thought we played so well & deserved at least a point.....

From what I've read Sunderland allowed us to keep the ball, and the two goals they scored were epic and deserving of winning any game, but I'd still feel hard done by if my team had 67% of the ball yet didn't score!

For us, bear in mind, it's much better to have the possession and solid defensive base (normally you don't concede goals like that!) and then "find" goals, as opposed to scoring loads and then having to shore up the defence. See what happens, innit, but I think we should be alright. Oh, and Blackpool openly copied us, we'd been playing this way way before them so any comparisons don't really work.

The sheep shatters are deluding themselves. They look at their possession stats and say look we were Barcelona, whereas rolling the ball out from the keeper to the back four and them then passing the ball between them for a couple of minutes in your own half, does yield high possession stats but very few chances on goal. Sinclair had a chance in the first half but not need to be saved and that was it. Tbh we were not very
Good today and you were never a threat, we were a Goal up and all you did was passing the ball to yourselves in your own half. Most times not even pretty just boring and ineffectual, thanks for the 3 points.

Difference is boys, you guys spend millions of pounds on players and we don't have that to spend! We'd quite like Sessegnon, can we borrow him please? What's he on, £40kpw? The guy is class but there are reasons we play the way we do, and one of them is that we don't have any money!

I'm sick of all the lazy journalism/punditry continually relating us to Blackpool. Good club & team as they are!! As if we're doing them!! Olly openly admitted he based his philosophy on Swansea, not we the other way round. One major difference between us & Blackpool, they shipped goals home & away.....

Did you see us against Tottenham, Liverpool, Man U & Arsenal???

It's not us referring to ourselves as Barca, it's the media......

We've spent a fraction on our squad of what you've spent on a player in the past & your still only a point above us!! Who's deluded....

Have you been recently!? We've got a shiny new tower! Right in the middle of the bay, nothing else high-rise about it, sticks out nice and lovely, so it does...

I already knew that I typed "If", thank you. I don't need you to tell me what the word 'If' means. I used it for a reason, you obviously got the reason but felt the need to tell everyone that you knew what 'If' meant. Go you.

The thing is Sunderland played the worst we have done in the last 8 games and i never thought for one second we would lose the game. Was it fustrating that our players couldnt keep the ball very well in large portions of the game, yeah it was, but again Swans dont build up a picture of us because of that game as we had more chances than Chelsea at the Bridge but got nowt.

A lot of people point to chances created but we certainly had more than the two which we scored, Wickham especially should have scored although i was surprised he was not stopped for pushing the centreback as the ball came to him, but quick frankly i have lost all respect for referees decisions this season and im fully in the bracket of get away with everything you can because daft decisions will go against you later.

Now to the comment above 'I'd be worried'......well being a Sunderland supporter im always worried lol, but seriously compared to 7 weeks ago when we were going down, and under Bruce we were, now i have no worries at all. I would rather turn that around onto Swansea, that really you guys should be worried because with that much ball with so few chances it dont look good. I do think you guys will stay up this year though because of your home stats but it may be close. Its also unfair to compare you guys to Blackpool, Blackpool were much more exciting to watch but i do think you are a better side as look stronger at the back and play consistantly which Blackpool couldnt.

Good luck for the season and i hope to see you guys next year!

    Whatever floats your boat mate.
By the way, Judging by your dross yesterday it'll be a while before you see Swansea score two goals like ours. Mind you it'll be a while before you see Swansea score any goals.
