Unused sub last night v zambia. Wtf? Hopefully the loss means he'll be back soon. Love to see him on the left, SWP on the right and taiwo at LB. Pace pace and more pace.

I think the whole problem with SWP is the fact he's playing left wing, I tried to keep an eye on him yesterday and he kept trying to cut in on his right foot, instead of beating the right back down the wing and ran in to dead ends all the time. Hughes know's that he is a right winger, but until Traore comes back he'll have to stay on the left as Mackie would be totally lost out there.

I agree. Swp has to be on the right. Mackie not good enough for me.

I will reserve judgment on SWP until he gets a chance on the right. Hurry back Traore.

Looks like Senegal thought they just had to turn up to win, as you say Traore may be coming home early. Adel may be in action on Monday evening against Tunisia, it's on Eurosport from 6.30pm...

The problem with SWP is that some people had it in their heads that we were buying Lionel Messi so when he puts in the performance of an average Premier League winger, which is what he is, they wonder why he's not Lionel Messi, which he isn't.

Good point Watford. His excellent performance on the right against Toon at home didn't do much to lower expectations either did it?

The only reason I can think of for playing SWP on the left is to compensate in some way for Clint's (slight) inadequacies. This provides balance for the Young Mackie performance on the right. To do the other thing (i.e. Young SWP on right, Hill Mackie on left) makes us vulnerable on the left.
