We have another two games coming up in the next 7 days and that will give us a leg draining 5 games in 14 odd days. Given the lack of quality and quantity available to us, do you honestly think that we can be competitive in both games? Don't think that HH will be able to play both Wed and Sat and was a bit surprised to see him on for the 90 mins today. Also think that Barton git his 5th yellow tonight which would rule him out for one game. Think if we got 3 Pts out of the next two games then we would be right on track. Thoughts?

Am I missing something? As far as I know our next game is Chelsea in the cup in a weeks time. Meaning our next league isn't until 2nd Feb against Villa where hopefully we will have brought in some reinforcements by then.

Why would that be a problem? They are paid professional footballers, it's their job to ensure they are fit for games.

Barton served a I match suspension at Norwich away so his 5 bookings were cleared.
We play chelsea noon sat and Villa play Arsenal sunday so we have an extra days rest before the wed game.
I think any new players will get a run out against chelsea and Helguson will be rested.
wouldnt mind fielding the squad players against chelsea and telling them it is their chance to impress.
then if we get hammered we have a good excuse and confidence wont be knocked.
points against villa and wolves are vital.
Then we will have Traore and Taarabt back and we will have more options.

Fair question Cerny. I just feel that our first team let alone our squad is still very thin on quality and quantity. MH will have the team training hard and also he likes his teams to play with a very high tempo. With the limited players we have to choose from at the moment it would have been hard to play 3 odd games in 7 days. I got the fixture list wrong for this week but i do see we play next Sat, Wed and Sat. Thats a short turnaround for a small group of players playing a high tempo game. I know Professional footballers shold be able to manage these games but remember a lot of our players are not spring chickens. Just my thoughts.

Also Helguson, Hall and Buzacky have long term injuries which have to be managed.

That's brilliant. If we can get the players in before noon on deadline day, they could all feature in our next league game. No wonder the board are in no hurry to sign. Obviously thought we already have the squad to turn over wigan.

If we can get Samba in as well (keeping fingers crossed) then he is not cup tied so our defence will be a tad stronger than it already is....

We only get Traore and Adel back end Jan if their countries go out 1 st round, and even then maybe too late for Villa and even Wolves

Whats the problem with Akos now? Would hate to lose him at the moment and after his performances.
