I think the screaming was more to do with the fact we were pants yet I can't remember one heart stopping moment from Swansea.
Maybe we scored to soon (if that's possible) From the first goal on we were terrible, yet the lead was never seriously threatened.

If by 'decent fans' you mean conceding that we deserved to lose when in fact we didn't then you're right. Most Swans fans are prepared to concede when we've been outplayed and didn't deserve anything, but today wasn't one of those days imo. I can understand you being chuffed with the result but if you're happy with the way you played, your expectations are pretty low.

Check the stats mate. You were awful, but got the result. Good for you.

Sunderland were played of the park, yet won the game, some times you just don't get what you deserve, and today was one of those days, thought our game was awesome, and it comes to something when the home team park the bus in front of goal, really proud of our football today, and we were by far the better team, the first Sunderland goal was a freak in my opinion, but their second was a match winner, and nothing Vorm could do about it. Anyway that's my take on the game, we live to fight another day, good result for Sunderland, and wish all the Black Cats the very best for the rest of the season, because you'll be needing it!.................<cheers>

I already said we were piss poor today - but still you didn't cause us any bother... if you're happy to see your team pass the ball endlessly without any end product then you'd better get used to plenty more losses where the stats show you had a lot of possession.

Never mind 'the stats' - watch the game... you were toothless.

I don't actually wish the Swans any ill... but I think some of the fans need to get a grip... take a lesson from what happend to Blackpool and hope you learn how to grind out a win.

How were we played off the park? It's one of the most comfortable home games we've had in ages. Swansea pass the ball around at the back for most of the game and done nowt with it. If you can't score goals then it's not good football. We were poor, looked comfortable and won 2-0. Apparently Swansea played really well, scored no goals and lost.

    Football, it's simple.

Adz if I was Sunderland supporter, I'd be worried, you need to look beyond the score line, you won't get a result like that again for a long time!.............. <ok>

Far from it pal, played poor and won, our only issue at the minute is putting chances away, today we done that. I was worried 7 weeks ago though.

Our defence nullified any threat from you. We scored two class goals; we have players capable of doing that.

I'd be worried if the whole team played poorly but they didn't. Overall we were poor but we won.

Judging from O'Neill's first handful of games I for one am not worried and I don't know why any SAFC supporter would be. <ok>

Strange game today: Swansea passed the ball wonderfully and had the vast majority of possession. However, I came away from the ground thinking that it was such an easy victory, and that it should have been far greater than just 2-0.

'Easy' and you had two shots on target all game. Yes, we were really under the cosh. <doh>

Saw the two goals again on motd and they were both excellent though, fair play.

Well done to Sunderland . The team & O 'Neil seem to work well for each other . Thought we played ok & Sunderland played ok but were just fitting some players into midfield that will see fruit later . Good luck the rest of the way

Swansea are a very pretty team but someone should let them know that the object of the game is to score goals and if they were still playing now they would not have scored

If Scott Sinclair had put away his relatively simple chance at 0-0, we'd have passed you to death (like we did anyway) and probably have won by 2 goals ourselves. He didn't, you scored instead, and you won. End of story. See you next season.

It's a mighty big word..For example, "if" we were better than Man U all these years we might of won something...

Well done to Sunderland. Two brilliant finishes, and tactics worked better than most other teams against us. I think Sunderland have got one of the best managers around at the moment, and I think you guys have got a good few years of success ahead of you if he stays. I reckon qualification for Europa League is not too unrealistic if the right players are brought in, and that would have been unthinkable under Steve Bruce.

Pressed us really high for the first twenty minutes, by which time Sessegnon had scored an awesome goal, and then sat deeper than any other team we've played in my opinion. Martin O'Neill knew we didn't have the quality to break down a really packed defence too many times, so we were allowed to keep the ball for much longer than we normally do away from home. Gardner scored another peach, and it was game over.

I still think we played well, considering it was Sigurdsson's first start, and were unlucky to lose. If Sunderland hadn't sat so deep, we would have created a lot more chances and it just came down to two bits of quality finishing at one end, and not at the other. But that's what you would expect from multi million pound players.

Even though we lost I'm actually more confident about staying up now, because if we play like that in our next 4 away games (West Brom, Stoke, Wigan and Fulham), I think we'll get more than 4 points, which would almost double our away points tally for the season

To be honest I'm not that bothered what Swansea fans think about us and I dont think they should be bothered about what we think about them.

We all saw one game yesterday, I am looking at far more than that. A few weeks ago we would have lost that game, we sat in the bottom three and we had no real strikers.

We now sit 10th, same players and still no strikers.

We deserved to win yesterday for one reason and one reason only, we scored, a few weeks ago we would not have.

Did we play well, no. Can we improve, 100%. For me that excites me and excites me a lot, we are winning games, not playing that well and can improve so much and with MON we will, That will do for this happy mackem.

BTW, Swansea, on what I saw are the new Arsenal, nice to watch but toothless, you may well be caught out second half of season.
